Absolutely amazing museum that everyone in the Boston area should check out at least once. This place is filled with amazing details of JFK's life from the start to the end with all the context. The admission price is being reasonable especially considering the architecture is stunning. The 6 story all glass foyer is a sight to behold. Information wasn't overwhelming and the museum isn't so large as to take all day. The small videos playing at many artifact displays were concise and well made. They even participate in Bank of America's Museums on Us program.

One of the most interesting places I have ever been to. Fascinating historical events documented in film and photographs of John F.Kennedy. Private and political life. Sensational footage of Senate and presidential campaigns and inspirational speeches and also his inauguration.

I visited JFK in April at 10 am. Hardly anyone there at that time. The seniors discount is great. A tour map is available and docents invite you to join their free walking tour with detailed info on all the exhibits. There are special areas set aside for profiles of Jackie K, Bobby K and Edward K. The JFK theme was mainly orientated to his political career. It would have been richer with more home movies and more interviews with friends and family about his life growing up, and his personality out of the sight of media. It seemed an interesting but shallow exploration of JFK with all his complexity. Unfortunately the gift shop with books, sweatshirts and replicas was closed for renovation. The cafe offers excellent soup sandwiches and tea or coffee, drinks etc.

If you want to see some great history take the time to venture over to the JFK library and take the time to see some history from the early 60’s. Some great Items you can view and hear some first hand. There is great detail about the highlights of his shortened term, ending, of course, with his assassination. You end by going out into a tremendous room with about a 4-story ceiling and a view out over Boston Harbor.

There is a LOT to see here. Set aside at least two hours. The cafe is at the end of the tour and you will also run into a gift shop. Parking is easy. Would be nice if they offered more info or exhibits on the assassination.

We enjoyed our visit. Lots of good exhibits with interesting information. It felt slightly lacking, but I can't quite put my finger on why. Maybe it's a little outdated. But, overall, it was a good experience.

Amazing place to go visit, just wished I'd decided to go earlier in the day, turned up at 4 so only had an hour to wander round, but even still paying $14 it was fully worth it! Free parking is a bonus too after getting ripped off at other venues!

Highly recommended, will be back again soon to spend a lot longer soaking up the life of JFK

My husband and I are new to the city, and were absolutely delighted to visit this museum. It's the best one we've visited in years. The museum really made JFK the man come alive, and showcased his place in history. We definitely teared up by the end, and were rewarded with a spectacular view of the harbor at the end of our visit. Highly recommended.

What an amazing place. Located right on the water, this venue is awe-inspiring. Really does justice to JFK. A well-paced guided tour hits on the main points in each room but also gives time for everyone on the tour to really immerse themselves in the exhibits. Would love to visit again.

The location of this library is a bit difficult to reach. You need to take the subway out of Boston proper for 10 miles or so and then wait for a tram or walk the two miles to the site. I walked but I wouldn't recommend it since there's construction all around the access road and no sidewalk in places. I arrived at 4.30 and got in for $5.00 so that made the effort of the trip seem worth it. And I was able to see 90 % of the contents in twenty minutes. The exhibits were quite interesting and the media of the events of his presidency made you feel like you were in a time warp of sorts. But I was struck by a feeling that it was all just somewhat thin and incomplete. There were some parts that just seemed empty, such as the room in the back with the tall ceiling and lots of windows and just a cement wall with an inscription on it. And the lone sloop in the back on the grass just seemed sad. I walked away with a campaign sticker and a fridge magnet with the library's name on it and waited for the last shuttle bus back thinking that John hadn't been served as he should have been by this memorial.

A must see if you're in the Boston area. The UMASS campus is under construction but google maps should still get you right to the parking lot. It's free to park and an adult ticket costs $14. There is a 20 minutes film right at the beginning which I would certainly take the time to watch before continuing through the rest of the museumthere are a lot of interesting clips shown! The museum has a ton of pictures and documents and really portrays the great legacy JFK left behind! Would certainly come back and visit again!

A couple tips.
1. Know ahead of time exactly how to get there and - the area is under construction and there are some roads blocked off.

2. I visited on Jul 3 - and it was crowded but the groups of people kept moving through and there was nothing I couldn't see.

3. My tween daughter and I enjoyed all of it - and we were in a hurry and saw it all in an hour. I would have preferred to leisurely spend at least another 30 minutes.

4. The current exhibit on JFK's 100 year anniversary is chronological and very well done with items I had never seen before.

5. This is included in the Boston Go-Card. Make sure you are aware of that before buying the Go Card later for downtown Boston attractions.

I definitely recommend this to anyone who appreciates history.

I very much enjoyed my visit to the JFK Library. They do a great job of transporting you back to the 60's from a political but also a cultural standpoint. I already felt relatively knowledgeable about his presidency but still learned and gained insight into it. They also have exhibits on Jackie and one on Robert (Attorney General).

As a non-American, I did enjoy my visit there, and learning about the Kennedy mythology.

It's a small trek from Boston CBD, but still easy enough. The buses from the T Station could do with coming more frequently (although that's not the museum's fault).

They had a cafe available there, which seemed to be very busy, but pricey.

I did think that the museum price was slightly high for what it is. Knock a couple of dollars off, to the 10-12$ range and I think it's fair. I went to the Bill Clinton Library, which was cheaper, had more exhibits, and located centrally.

Took the family to JFK Library & Museum, and we all enjoyed it. There's a lot of exhibits and information about JFK, and the issues he had to deal with during his presidency. It was very inspirational, and made me realize how active he was during his presidency. Not only did he deal with issues of the day (civil rights, Cuban missile crisis, Viet Nam, Berlin Wall erection, etc.), but he also championed the Peace Corps, along with other initiatives. It was all very interesting, and set in a beautiful building located right along the water. Fabulous place to go and spend some time.

I went here a few months ago and the place was wonderful. A lot of great history and very interesting stuff I never would have known before. My brother in law who was visiting from Mexico enjoyed it a lot too. The staff was very friendly and everyone greeted us with a smile.

Great museum! There is so much to see here. The building is beautiful, right on the water. They have a nice gift shop too that has reasonably priced items.

I ordered something through their online store with standard shipping, and got it within 2 days!

Very nice staff and museum overall. Highly recommended!
