Compassionate and understanding group of veterinarians and support staff. You can tell they really care and are very accommodating especially when things aren't going well for your pet. I highly recommend any veterinarian here for the treatment of your pet. They've made Stanley's tough times more manageable and worked with us to make things that otherwise wouldn't be doable work for both us and them.

We are camping in Petoskey this week and one of my pups turned up with an impacted anal gland. This is a messy, germy, painful and ultimately dangerous situation for a dog. We called Jensens and they got us in later that same day, thank goodness. Dr. Ryan was great, took care of her and thoroughly explained everything to me, while answering my questions. The office was clean and cared for, and busy. I posted a pic of the clinic room we were in. I definitely recommend Jensens. The bad reviews on here are talking about some very specific situations which don't apply to everyone who walks in the door, let alone every doctor on staff. If you don't like your experience, tell them, change doctors, let the business offer some type of solution. We all want happy, healthy pets. And that's exactly what they did for us today.

We (my dad and I) have had the best years here at Jensen's! We've been with Dr.Henning ever since we got our Husky Malamute in 2008. Sadly, our dog Apollo had to be put down on Sep.23,2016. The staff and doctors were all very comforting and helpful throughout our stay with them. I will defiantly recommend them to anyone.

My post was deleted so I'm going to keep posting it be cause it's freedom of speech and it being a true statement, I think it's wrong to remove any post that shows the truth.
My dog who was 3 at the time was hit by a car and I was at work. He had his tags on and I was called and informed by a good bystander that he had taken him to jensen's. As I have heard of how they handle things I didn't want him there. So I called for an update, I'm no medic but I had some training in the army, so yes he was my ptsd dog, he had hairline facture on his front leg, gash on his head and leg and maybe a bloody lip or toung. But they had stated he had a broken leg cause they took xrays and wanted to amputate, a punctured tongue and that he was too bad of shap to be save and that they wanted to put him down, I said no and that I wanted to take him home. After a long day at work and being upset I come home and see that he is roughed up and needs time to heal but none of the mangled mess they had stated. I called and asked for the xrays, they stated they didn't have the xrays for him and left me worndering why this place is in business in the first place with all the bad things I've heard from there I see y, now his dog tag states don't take me to jensen's.

I had two bunnies that I sexed as being both female, but one of them was soon discovered to be a male when he started mounting the other and was resexed. This necessitated an earlier spaying than anticipated. I called several vets and, although the staff at Jensen's Animal Hospital was rude on the phone, I did speak to Dr. Pamela Graves and she seemed knowledgeable. They were my ultimate choice due to some of the other vet offices not being able to schedule an appointment soon enough. On the day of the surgery, I brought my rabbit in and was put on edge when I was reprimanded by the staff for having food in her carrier which I informed them was absolutely necessary for a rabbit due to their unique digestion and is endorsed by all rabbit enthusiasts. I was in the waiting room for a bit until Dr. Graves came out and discussed the surgery with me before taking my rabbit back to the operating room. I was devastated when I received a call a couple hours later informing me that she had passed away during surgery.

I do realize, of course, that I should have done a better job with a lot of aspects of what happened and I so wish I could. I know, also, that the surgery was riskier due to her being approximately four months at the time, but thought it necessary to prevent an unwanted litter. Still, though, I did try to do what I thought was best and the mortality rate should be extremely low for a vet experienced in rabbits. The staff's comments towards me and my rabbit gave me the impression that they did not receive very many rabbit patients, despite what Dr. Graves told me.

I hesitated for a long time to get my male fixed after this experience, but finally took him to Dr. David Zehnder at Bay Pines Veterinary Group after several phone calls and one office visit. He came out splendidly and I was very impressed with Dr. Zehnder, his staff, and the facilities. I would HIGHLY recommend taking your rabbit (or any other animal, for that matter) there or, at least, not to Jensen's. R.I.P. sweet Nutmeg. Taken much too soon.
