Excellent fried seafood platter with the basics - fish, clams, scallops, shrimp, fries and coleslaw. Add the fried lobster tail for a few dollars more. Mussel appetizer was delicious with leftover dipping broth. Everything tasted fresh. Inquire about the daily blackboard specials. Staff was helpful and friendly. Restaurant gets busy on weekend nights so expect a short wait.

Our last visit we took the boat over and tied up right outside the patio seating area. Jake's private dock fits 3 boats so as we turned Worlds End I called to make sure there was an open spot - score - and placed my order. Sit outside for nice views of Hull bay (a lot of 'traffic noise' from the busy st).

We've been to Jake's Seafood many times ama have always had a great experience. While a great place for families, my fiance and I came for a date night. We shared the steamers as an app - excellent! We both got the lazy man's lobster which we didn't see on the menu. Regardless, it was amazing, so fresh, tender and tasty, served with both melted butter and lemon wedges on the side. The meal also included 2 sides, so we each had a salad and broccoli. We HIGHLY recommend dining here.

Had a really great meal here! Grilled Sicilian-style swordfish with mashed potatoes and a Ceasars salad, really tasty combo and their seasoning for the swordfish was so good! Lovely view out the windows. It's a bit touristy and a little wait is usual, make sure to be close by when your turn is up or they'll seat the next in line. Servers and waitresses are friendly and attentive. Would definitely recommend a visit if you are in the mood for some seafood!

The food here is very, very good. Classic New England seafood. Not inexpensive. Well decorated, again, classic nautical theme. Consistently good. Nice place to bring visitors.

Love Jake's! Good service, great food. My family and I have been enjoying dining at Jake's for over 50 years and are never disappointed. We have seen it evolve from a take out clam stand to a full service restaurant. There is something for everyone on its extensive menu.

This is my favorite seafood restaurant in the South Shore, even more so than the entrenched Legal Seafood. They don't take reservations, so expect a half hour wait minimum on weekends.

When Jake's is open, it's summer (and Spring & Fall). It is right on the Bay.beautiful sunsets. Oh, and the food is fantastic.real clam showder, fried clams with the bellies, great fried shrimp, salmon on a cedar plank, and on and on. No reservations so get there early.

Always a good crowd, and the staff is wonderful. The food is unbeatable! Jake's always serves the freshest tasting fish, plus their onion rings taste so much fresher than what I get anywhere else.

While our waitress was fine the service was lacking. A couple of us ordered meals that included the slaw. It smelled off, cabbage was limp and it was not seasoned at all. Our waitress informed us that they use cider vinegar yet there was no hint of vinegar yet it was sitting is some milky liquid. I've been making slaw for over twenty years so it is sad to run into a supposedly good seafood place that can't make a decent slaw. Twice an older waitress came out and stared at our table after we told them about the slaw, very odd. No management came out to check on us. I ordered the Fisherman's Platter decent but the batter was pretty thick and it was falling off of the only ring right away. A decent amount of seafood but I've been given more elsewhere for less in the Boston area. Here is the kicker they don't even make their own tarter sauce, they give you plastic cups of Ken's Tarter Sauce which is absolute garbage. All in all this place is a joke, clearly they don't know New England seafood and take the easy way out on the simplest of things. Don't bother going here reeks of being a tourist trap.
