I really hate to leave negative comments but in my opinion Jake's is a one star establishment. My wife and I have visited Jake's about five times in the last 8 years. Almost every time the food is just not up to par. Example is this latest visit I ordered the pretzel bites and seafood platter. The pretzel bites where so hard on the outside trying to cut through them with the side of a fork completely smashed the inside and had no flavor. The seafood platter wasn't all bad. The herb and garlic shrimp was really good. The deep fried shrimp was rubbery. The deep fried fish had the hardest batter and the fish was mushy. The server was actually really nice and did the best she could.

Steak is good here. Service is pretty good most of the time as well. I have only ever has a couple bad experiences here and being it's the only steakhouse in ashland we have eaten here quite a bit over the years.

Went here on advice of hotel It was really good but down side was we were served our salads and not 2 minutes later our entrees were served. It was faster than getting a meal at McD’s But server very nice and food good and prices. $16 for an 8 oz prime rib dinner! Outstanding. We normally pay $30+ at home.

One of the nicest restaurants in Ashland. Great food and service. Tuesday is half off burger day which is awesome. Sunday afternoon is ribeye special.

We stopped here on the recommendation of the hotel where we were staying. My wife and I both ordered the specials for the day and were very happy with everything. Our server was awesome and the food was delicious. Cooked perfectly and nice portions. We both took leftovers back to the hotel. Highly recommend.

We stopped in here on our way home from Niagara (headed to Kentucky). All 6 of us cleared our plates! That's pretty good considering my kids rarely eat all their food. The prime rib sand which was yummy! The onion rings were down right delicious. 3 of my kids got pizza, 1 cheese and 2 pepperoni. The pepperoni was skimpy, only 1 piece per slice, but the kids ate it up!

Good 1/2 price burgers on Tuesday. Took 1/2 hr. to get our burger. Then, took a long time to get our bill and pay. So much for a fast lunch.

Took the family out for dinner first time ever at Jake's. Got seated pretty quick and was greated very promptly. Waitress was very friendly and informed about the menu. Placed the order and was out in average time. The food was okay. Soft drinks over priced, would need to try again to give fair assessment.

Enjoyed great iced tea. Wonderful meal in a very casual and fun restaurant. The service was incredible and although it was full of people, the place is so big that I did not realize how many folks were there.
