Ok,Had to go twice because part was not shipped the first time.
This is dealership does not have the customer service it once had.The guys behind the parts counter seem frustrated too.I am always treated well and they do go out of their way to correct the situation.
It seems to be a higher up issue.Maybe they have gotten to large to take care of the customer.
I had initially used the online bid through the JD equipment website and bid on a JD mower. Well I got a email fairly quickly that he had contacted the store and unfortunately the mower had been sold that day, but if I had any questions to ask. I was initially bummed, but figured this would be a good chance to ask about some other tractors. I had replied back asking about what were good options for my price range and horsepower and asked clarification on another listing..I received a reply back, but only with the clarification of the information. No other feedback, which was fine! I had then decided I wanted to put in another bid on a tractor and did so on Fridayso I wait until Monday to hear back about my bidnothing..i email the same man and ask if the tractor I bid on was still available..his reply was.."What tractor" so I explained which tractor I was talking about and wait a day for a replynothing. So I ask is it still available? Reply back in 8 minutes..yes it is, iv e been busy up until nowat that point I realized this person doesn't really want to help me. It's unfortunate, because I was basically begging to buy a tractor and need one, but will be going with a different company.
Service was little slow but my parts guy was friendly and help full he told me about the parts I bougt and said I would be back for the other one because they were plastic and didn't last long
Met with sales person very nice help me out greatly. Bought a x370 mower and sales person never once followed up with me on delivery time. Had to call and by luck mower was ready. Had them deliver and the one John Deere decal was not in good shape and never received even an owners book with it. Talked with salesperson and he was to call me back and have not heard from him. If I was sales I would at lease follow up with my customer to see how things were. Just saying hopefully service is much better
Ordered a new lawn tractor that was delivered on Monday! From my initial inquiry, everybody treated me very well! Absolutely no issues or problems! When delivered, all my questions were answered completely and my new " baby" was secured in my garage by the gentleman that delivered! I have delt with JD Equipment before in Wilmington and was not disappointed then either! I would, without hesation, recommend JD EQUIPMENT!
"Nothing runs like a Deere! The one I purchased in 2003 has been handed down to family members and is still going strong! Thanks to all for making this a very positive experience!

Bought a D140 rider $2000.00. After a half year of mowing front axle was shot. Called to see if warranty would cover it they said NO.This cost me $70.00 out of pocket, not counting my time to locate part. Went to a JD equipment place to get a tune-up kit in Columbus, 60 miles away. He gives me the wrong air filter. The filter is still sitting in garage, cost me $35.00, and my time. Had to order one from an engine place in Chillicothe. The engine knocks when starting, still under my 2-year warranty. Ask if it is covered? They (in Lancaster) tell me it isn't. But they are persistent on selling me an extended warranty for $500.00. WOW they can't honor the first 2 years. AMAZING! The manager called to ask how many hours on my D140. There are 198.6 hours after 2 seasons of mowing 4 acres. All he could say warranty is gone after 120 hours. So the D140 is only good for less than 200 hrs. His response is the same as most, they are not responsible! Offered no solution!!!! This mower cost me $10 an hour to ride, not counting the cost of maintenance. Does any company take responsibility for there so called warranty? I am out $2000. Wish I never bought this thing.
Great all around experience, when I purchased a piece of equipment from them.
JD Equipment is where I purchased my x530, lawn tractor in 2011. I had previously purchased a much smaller JD lawn tractor from Lowe's in 2009. The smaller tractor was having steering problems and the transmission had gone out, I went to JD equipment and they told me I had 7 days left on my warranty. I went home and brought the tractor right back. They fixed it 100% for free and then I traded it in on the x530. The employees and sales staff at JD equipment are wonderful, always helpful with parts that I need and know exactly how to help me with maintenance issues. I frequently visit their establishment just to catch up on the new equipment that is available and purchase John Deere apparel. My father and 2 brothers all own John Deere lawn tractors and would drive nothing else. I love my John Deere and feel privileged to live within 5 miles of the Lancaster JD equipment.
