Today I picked up a battery for my Harley. I've bought leathers and helmets previously at decent prices.
Didn't realize it was all Harley stuff. I suppose it's good for Harley fan boys and girls.
Although the chat service was outstanding the J&P service Rep Gill was helpful I can never order anything from J&P again. The Sportster oil tank that came was not the same as the picture that I asked for and received. The tank needed risky modifications for it to work and it does after bending one of the tubes that was pointed directly into the frame and rerouting two other lines because the nipples were facing the wrong direction. I requested the picture to specifically identify exactly what I was purchasing in order to make sure it would work without issue because it was needed for a trip. I typically do extra research to avoid having to deal with the hassle of filling out return forms and shipping parts back etc... I also paid overnight shipping costs because it was needed (almost half the cost of the part itself).
Because of the fact that J&P has no issue with either substituting or misrepresenting the product that I purchased I have lost consumer confidence because I can not trust information from J&P. to be accurate.
I swooped in to the Anamosa store Thursday to snag a pair of Gauntlet gloves to keep the chill off my bones. Friendly staff pointed me in the right direction recommended the best deals and I was in and out of the store quicker than Dracula slam'n his coffin door shut Before Sunrise. The music is always great while shopping there .A few laughs were shared,A few stories told & greatest of all , once again, I was treated like gold. Brian K.
We went here to pick up some tires we had them hold for us. I noticed a Bluetooth headset that I have & commented to cashier 71127 that I couldn't find my instructions on setting channels. She proceeded to pull up the instructions for my model & printed the pages I needed, which I thought was exceptional customer service. We went back a couple weeks later to look at helmets & the same cashier waited on us. Again, she was very helpful.
If your shopping & wanting someone to assist you. Look for the little gal. She's very knowledgeable & helpful.
The store has a wide selection of riding accessories, along with a warehouse of items available on their website.
This place has a wide variety of items and apparel. I personally love the bandanas, hair bands, face masks, and t-shirts they offer. Please be sure to double check your receipt to your purchases however...when we were rang up their system had a tendency to ring up the wrong items, which were clearly wrong and more expensive. The lady and cashier were super nice about walking through each item to make sure my purchases were correct.. so that is nice.
Alot of parts and accessories. Gear and clothing too. Free shipping. The people are really nice and helpful.
Attended the 2017 J & P Rally for the 2nd straight year and had a great time. Terrific vendors, free food, live bands and some of the best people-watching on the planet.
Went there today for the rally. Weather was a bit off for late June... Bought a shirt to be a bit warmer going home. Seems like a good place. Found some things. Good way to spend the day.
Not sure who's brilliant idea it was to stop selling metric parts at the store, but they are some kind of special. If I want to shop the internet, there are way more website's than JP cycle. It used to be a destination a few times a year. It's not the same place it used to be( a couple of the same helpful guys that are full of knowledge, you know who you are!) but the rest of it is bull. The place was started with a friendly smile and a catalog, and thank you for that John. This isn't how it would be when you were still here. Now it's corporate America. That's my opinion and you are welcome to yours, but I've been a customer for 20 years now. Keep shopping around my friends.
Worst Motorcycle Accessory Company, Period. Ordered a new pair of men's boots. What arrived was one Men's Boot and one Women's boot, neither of which were the right style or size. The response? "We don't look in the boxes" Well, it's an unsealed box, you damned well better! Lost my business forever after the 2 month faff to get my money back. WORST COMPANY FOR MOTORCYCLE ACCESSORIES, PERIOD.
My boyfriend and I went here and Darry helped us, this guy knew his shi*. That is one knowledgable man right there. The person that helped us the time before, was okay but nothing like this guy. So, if you're stopping in, traveling to get there, (like we did), ask for Darry.

Out of the way, but worth it! They don't have much for my Triumph, but the staff is very helpful and pointed me in the right direction. Ordered up a tire to have shipped to my door and it came quickly in spite of holiday weekend. I'll be back... Thanks
Pathetically slooooow order fulfillment. Have had to cancel orders and order parts through Dennis Kirk or Twisted Choppers to get parts on-time.
Horrible customer service, ordered a pair of slip on mufflers, waiting 11 days and they still have not even shipped. Called customer service 3 times and just get empty promises. Only live about an hour away from store - should have just drove there and picked up but wonder if they even really have them. I sure do get their sales flyers in a timely fashion though. Buyer Beware !!!!
