Store was extremely coldstaff very nice and courteous but they should offer to help taking goods to car. I am disabled.
It's very convenient. I love the prices and I like the selection of meat that they have.
My shopping experience was good though I don't like the fact that y'all know that I was there just because I walked in the store I sign nothing gave y'all not my phone number yet you still know my phone that is creepy y'all worse in a creepy old man
People are fantastic, not a mad house, clean, great quality produce & meats. Prices are good. Ssshhh don't tell anyone , it's a hidden gem!!!
I had already had my 3yr old buckled up in the car once I realized a gallon of milk I had purchased was leaking. The gentlemen gathering carts noticed it the same time I did and he quickly ran inside and exchanged it for another one while I waited with my daughter in the car. It's sad that an act like this is highlighted, but in these days, they're few and far between.
The only reason it doesn't get 5 stars is bc they didn't do much remodeling/ if any before switching it over from J&J to The marketplace on limestone. Yes they do offer more local goods than before but it still has the overall feel of j&j. I understand how expensive it would be to remodel but I fear not doing it will be it's demise It needs to have more of a Harris Teeter atmosphere, anyone that's ever shopped there understands what I'm talking about.
Before the re branding, I'd only come to this location for the specials in their meat department. I went in the other day to check the place out and they seem to have take a major step in the right direction. I love the idea of bringing in locally produced goods as it offers something that the corporate brands down the road simply don't. Prices are just as competitive, if not more so than the big brother down the street so everyone should give this place a chance. It's nice to be able to buy local!
The store is not overwhelming. It seems more like a neighborhood market. It's clean and the grocery items are easy to find. Plus, the prices are competitive ,or in some instances, better than the big chain stores.
I buy all my vegetable plants there. They have the best prices. My garden is huge for a fraction of the price compared to a big box store.
I love J & Js! Great prices, a surprisingly large selection of sugar free and diabetic products, clean store, and friendly staff. My only complaint is a minor one which is that they close at 10 p.m.
Long ago J&J was a good place to shop. It is no longer. Fresh food quality has really gone down. Veggies were old and some started to decompose.
Broccolis that had gone soft & limp were packed in trays & wrapped in stretch plastic film making it difficult to detect their old condition. I opened a pack an confirmed the condition. When I mentioned it to an employee that was stocking some old looking cucumbers, he replied that's all they got. (Packages were not marked down)
Last Thursday I purchased beef that they had featured on sale flyer. When I got home & opened the package I discovered that the bottom side that was not visible in the package had turned dry & brown. I used it to make dog food.
Better selection & friendlier employees than the store in town. They also have more & better handicap carts than the store in town!
Used to be a nice grocery store but they've declines, the staff is amazing, but you can only do so much with what they've got.
