    J. FOSTER PHILLIPS
has been a good neighbor to St. Albans since I was a baby I'm now going on sixty-three. Sadly, my family has called apon their professional services in the loss of my father, grandmother, aunt, two Uncles and mother we've received nothing but the highest in service, advice and sincerity. As in any business you can imagine you'll have one or two to believe you could have done better, but on a whole you simply can't ask for better care, service or neighbors especially during time of crisis. Thank you for being there when we needed you. Blessings, Kevin L. Smith

My family can't thank Tonya enough for her treatment during our difficult time! With some of us being in North Carolina and some in NY she made our experience smooth and seamless. We can't thank her and the rest of the staff enough!!

Under the circumstances, I had the most professional experience utilizing this funeral home for my great aunt. The ambiance of the foyer is welcoming.. The front desk clerk was professional and informative with every encounter. The fresh aroma throughout the facility played a significant role in my decision, as well. Mr. Joseph (funeral director) was amazing and forth coming with information, with every emcounter. From the day he greeted me until the my aunt was loweed into her final resting place, he was present. I read previous negative reviews and was extremely nervous but I do not have one bad word to say about this establishment. While, arranging my aunts service, I overheard a funeral eulogized by the amazing Dr. Jeffrey Conyers and I immediately said, I will pay Dr. Conyers to officiate my aunt's service. A five star service it was. Thank you to all the employees and contracting staff. Job well done.

Beware Beware Awful Awful Awful if I could give zero stars I would
Recent service June 30 close family member
I don't know where to begin.
Body had to be transported from another state. Due to their total negligence body sat in departing state for over a week. Paperwork not filled out correctly and immediate family had no idea what was going on. Family had 48 hours to travel 900 miles.

On day of buriel Funeral Director and Hearst led 20 cars to wrong cemetery a family member had to direct the procession to the correct place. Director showed no empathy at all.

Program incorrect, website not updated with his information for 3 weeks. They need to have their licensed revoked. Black owned business all of their clients are black they need to be held accountable for this disrespectful service. Go elsewhere.

I had an excellent experience with J Foster Phillips. We had two deaths in the family within the last month and funeral director, Mr. Harvey went above and beyond for both my grandmother’s arrangements and my father’s arrangements. He really cares about making sure that grieving families are happy with their experiences and made sure our arrangements for both of my loved ones went smoothly. My grandmother looked just as I will always remember her. My father was cremated and he has exceeded expectations. He doesn’t look at the people coming in there as people who are just spending money but as people in need of the best during a time of grief.
