We found our way to Steve Ullrich and the J. Allen Hooper Funeral Chapel on short notice after receiving word of my mom's passing. Not being local made the prospect of sorting everything out even more daunting, but our experience with Steve and Jessica was flawless and exceeded our expectations.

From the first interaction with the website until the after-the-fact delivery of required official documents so I could navigate estate issues, Steve anticipated, explained and executed every step of the process. We never felt rushed or pushed, and he was respectful of our choices along the way. He took the lead in surmounting obstacles, such as when the cemetery initially couldn't find records of my family's plot, or tracking down the ER charge nurse at the hospital to verify the whereabouts of my mom's personal effects, since none of us were present when she unexpectedly passed.

In an era where personal service sometimes seems an antiquated notion, I felt my mom, and our family, were well-cared for throughout the entire process. I would highly recommend the J. Allen Hooper Funeral Chapel to anyone in need or planning for future needs.

Stephen was very professional and made a very good overall impression on our family. He provided emotional support at the very difficult time for us. Although given short notice he arranged everything in perfect timely fashion, including the delivery of flowers from the store we chose, which he had no prior relationship with. True professional and a gentleman! We do recommend his services.

We were told our mom had 2 days left to live! What a shock. The day she passed on my sisters recommendation we choose Hooper. We have had an excellent experience at a very difficult time. The staff are very sensitive to the family’s needs and everything was done with the utmost professionalism. My mom looked beautiful and the flowers were lovely. It was so nice that you could do everything at one place. So many decisions at a difficult time was made easy.

Stephen and the staff at J Hooper Funeral Home were amazing. They showed us incredible professionalism as well as making the entire process comforting, caring and miles away from sad and depressing. We believe the service for our Mom turned out perfectly and was very special. J Hooper worked with us every step of the way to ensure that happened. Thank you all for helping us through a very difficult time and allowing us to focus on honoring Mom the way we wanted. As funeral services can be expensive, we also felt that Stephen did everything he could to work with us in that regard and we never felt pressured to “buy” anything we weren’t comfortable with. Many thanks!!! Highly recommend.
