Wonderful staff the room was older but clean a nice fireplace in centre of room, just a great place to stay we WILL be staying there again
The Manager should not be the manager or work in the customer service industry. All the other staff is nice, the place cute but old. The heaters dont work most of the time. Very dated and it is clear no funds have been reinvested to include the training of the Manager.
Shampoo and conditioner in separate bottles! Need I say more? Our room had a mini fridge and a stand alone fireplace. Sure, its an older hotel but for the price, its right on point. Powerful blowdryer, extra blankets, mini coffee maker.
Pretty disappointed! Room had stains on floor and Had I known our view was of big giant power wires would never have booked, the mini deck off the room does not seem safe! Took my dog out to go to the bathroom and there was garbage everywhere! Dirty alley behind us with garbage and cigarette butts! Dumpy not worth $125
The check in staff were very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, that's the only good thing. The rooms are VERY dated and more importantly, unclean. The floors and walls were stained, the light bulbs burned out, the trim falling off. The mattresses were old. I slept in one little corner and didn't move all night. I didn't shower or have coffee in my room due to the uncleanliness. This place needs some serious updating. For $120 per night, I expected a clean room.
The Inn is in a great location. Close to coffee shops, restaurants and Marina's.Clean comfortable rooms.
It's ok in a pinch. Parking is bad if the hotel is busy, had to park on the street. Lobby is in a weird place with no parking in front of it. Room we stayed in was a double Queen "family style room" which has one bed in a separate room with a Murphy bed in the entry room and a shared bathroom. Lots or storage and the beds where comfy, good heat if you need it which is good because it seemed like there was a lack of blankets. There is a Thai restaurant attached to the lobby with super friendly staff and surprisingly good food.
The rooms were clean and had all the needed amenities. Coffee, towels, wifi, flat screen etc. A bit dated, but well maintained. Breakfast bar was simple but a pleasant surprise.
Wanted to have fun in Anacortes while we waited over night to catch the ferry. The town is beautiful and fun with kids at the parks etcthe Island Inn however is a different story. Could be a great place and I'm sure it was in its day. I must say the customer service is good. The rooms are in my opinion are a little grungy, smell like stale cigarettes, and very dirty with stained carpets and stale smelling bedding. My wife and 3 kids came down with bad case of head lice from staying there so please check the bedding and furniture before you agree to your room for the night. We will definitely be coming back to stay in Anacortes again but will pass on staying at the Island Inn. Hope this place gets turned around and becomes great someday.
The Islands Inn was affordable, clean, and comfortable. Though our room was clean, and included the expected amenities, the sink had only hot and warm water, so we were unable use it for drinking. There were no logs for the fireplace either, though we were told there would be (which would have been nice since we visited in the winter!) The promised continental breakfast was postponed too late for us to attend due to the lobby attendant oversleeping. Aside from these unusual blips, our stay was comfortable, and accommodating.
