  As we walked out of the Humane Society a year and a half ago they told us our German Shepherd Belgian Malinois would never be able to be around children or other dogs, he was on a high dose of anti-anxiety meds. This was his last chance to be adopted, if we returned him he would not be put up for adoption again. We hired a trainer and consulted with a vet. We worked diligently but still he was afraid and reactive. He would not allow anyone near family members, in our home or near our yard. He attacked with what seemed no provocation. We searched for a trainer that could help us. Over and over we were referred to Dave. Without judgement Dave explained what it meant to have a working dog and outlined our best path forward. He assured us that using an e-collar and sending our boy away for a month would not further traumatize him. We were still not sure about sending him away for a month but had no other choice. Once in Payson, again without judgement, it was pointed out how we reinforced his fear and reactivity. We received regular updates, and Micah spent more time than you can imagine working with us when we picked him up and in the year since. It has been work and we still train daily but we now have a dog who is cuddly and protective but knows we have his back and he does not need to attack everything that makes him nervous. He tolerates children and plays well with his canine friends. Squirrels still need be wary when straying into our yard. Innovative K9 makes for happy, safe dogs and families.

  Thanks to Micah for working with our Pomsky, Loki. We brought him home a little over two weeks ago and the difference is incredible. We are so happy with what Loki has learned and the difference in his behavior. He is calm and is doing so good in his daily walks and is not impacted by any distractions. Innovative K9 does an amazing job and I would highly recommend them.

  Holy Grail of Dog Trainers
  
  I sent my 6-year old German Shorthaired Pointer to Innovative K9 to help with severe anxiety, which caused aggression towards other female dogs. Before starting training with Tommy, I could never get her to come when called, she would frequently run off at the park and come back when she pleased, and she had no impulse control especially if she came across a bird while off leash. I can truly say that sending her to train with Tommy was the best investment we've ever made. When she came home from her board and train program, she was obedient, responsive, and didn't have issues being aggressive towards other female dogs. The biggest benefit, however, is how much it improved the relationship between my dog and I; I trust that she will listen to me and she is much more confident/secure. It has made our day-to-day lives together so much better. Thank you!!

  These guys are the real deal!! I was a little worried but my wife and I wanted to do this right and research multiple companies. They did such a great job and are so knowledgeable. I love showing off out pups obedience and seeing the confidence and trust he has in my wife and I. We are constantly telling people about these guys and even though it can be a little expensive there is no one else you should trust.

  I loved my experience with Innovative K9!! I took my dog here back in April and have been meaning to write a review ever since I picked my dog up. He is SO well behaved and listens perfectly. We go on walks around the neighborhood, camping, hiking and other similar places all off leash. He’s respectful of other dogs and people. He used to run away from home constantly and was hard to get back but hasn’t run away since bringing him home. They send picture and video updates and even kept my dog an extra week to make sure he completely understood what they were teaching him. I would recommend them to anyone and definitely will use them in the future with other dogs I own.
