Lovely local bookstore that also has local literacy programs. Also has a small stage for performances. Definitely worth checking out if you find yourself on the east end of Mass Ave
IRB is a great place with an amazing variety of books for any type of reader. the environment is very chill and the staff matches the aesthetics. it's always quiet and clean. parking can be challenging depending on what time you go, but other than that, no complaints. :)
The staff are always super friendly and helpful, and the prices are pretty solid, competitive with buying things on Amazon. Their selection varies, as all used bookstores do, but I generally can find something to read every time I'm there. I'm always glad to see what new books they have as well because they get some harder to find gems that you won't see at a Barnes&Noble. Plus, it's all for a good cause! Hands down the best bookstore in the Indy area.
Thoroughly impressed. Non-profit to help literacy in Indiana and 100% donation based. Also, they showcase local "homegrown" writers. Everything is organized in sections and the staff is helpful and true to the cause. A pleasant ambience to read, too.
This was my first time going to a non-chain bookstore and it was great! The atmosphere was very bookish, the place was nice and clean, and the displays were interesting. It had a very "come sit down and read or play some chess or do some homework" feel to it, which I loved. Wish I had one of these close to my house!!
Awesome used booked store. Very affordable. All purchases support adult literacy and & ESL education programs in Indianapolis.
This place is great. The selection is nice, the staff are both helpful and informative, and the arrangements and displays will lead you to good titles. Obviously the social responsibility qualities of this bookstore make it doubly important to shop here, with the added bonus that's just a great store in general.
What a gem! I look forward to coming here. Sit in a comfy chair, read and listen to live music or readings. Don't leave without a few books to read at home, bring them back, repeat. Children friendly and their books are one dollar.
Fun event with Santa and his elfs. Especially when your kids love books as ours do.
Love this place. Always tidy and neat and fun. Also juice and cookies and talk to Santa and letters to write! Good time c
Great staff and a great cause. All proceeds are donated to a literacy program. The staff is happy to share their mission. They accept donations so please consider them when clearing out space and have knowledge and stories to pass along!!
