They provide great care!
My Father almost 86 has been very independent and this past week we took there due to failing health afraid to leave him alone. He had been at another nursing home in Lafayette that was beautiful on the in side but their care was horrible. We made a quick move the next wk to the VA and the people greeted us right off the elevator to order him a dinner plate, welcome us and they have been amazing. My Father is still a bit uneasy about the transition but he's eating good food, being cared for and getting stronger each day. I was very nervous about taking him there but it has been a great move so far.
My Step-Dad stayed here, and loved it! He loved the Bingo, and church services. He said the food was good, and the "Girls" take such good care of him. The staff was always helpful and friendly. Serenity takes care of these patients in such a loving way. God Bless Indiana Veterans Home
I've worked in 20+ nursing homes in the last 12 years all over Indiana. And THIS was by far my favorite job. They did things by the book here, and didn't put up with abuse of patients. Lots of caring staff who give these people lots of love!
My grandfather lived here for 22 yrs and absolutely loved it. They are caring and giving and I would highly recommend this place to anyone. He worked there as well. His name was Albert "Monk" Estes.. RIP grandpa..
they blame you for stuff and fire you without asking your side of the story. I love the residents but hate everything else about the place
