This was a really nice park. I loved the layout and the views are amazing. I liked that the cabins were heated and it made my stay very comfortable. I loved walking some of the trails. I was there for a Nero larping event and had a lot of fun walking the park during my down time.

This park has always been a simple place to get back to nature. Nothing exciting, but picturesque and serene. Now they are transitioning into some type of retreat/conference center. I'm personally not a fan, but maybe it will help get more visitors.

Nice overnight State Park camping. Most sites level and some what private. 4g 2bars bars. Site 49.

Been here when I was younger and now that I'm older I can enjoy the memories and the amount of history and nature of this park. The visitors center is an old & beautiful building. The park rangers are all very friendly and they take good care of the park! (You all rock). I walked all over the park and loved every step. The two trails this park has are something to admire. I'll probably visit this park more and maybe take on some camping.

This is a nice state park. We have stayed here several times and enjoyed it each time. It will be even better when the lake is ready for fishing and swimming again. And be sure to visit Dauset Nature center nearby.

Very unique place, when we were there on a Saturday there were several locals lined up with dozens of jugs filling them from the spring! The spring source is covered by a plexiglass bubble and the water trickles out of a pipe below. There was an old stone building that was being set up for a wedding and the creek running through was fun to hike through. Very beautiful park!

The park was nice and clean. Our family reunion was very enjoyable at this location. We all had fun & we all enjoyed ourselves. This is a great place to visit with family and friends.😊☺🙂/👨👩👧👦👪👨👩👧/🏀⚾⚽🏐🏈🎾🚴

Childhood memories.. was always a great place for family.. The water that comes from under ground and smells like eggs still flows and free to the public. It's said to have many healthy minerals.

The oldest state park in Ga. has an overall great setup at reasonable prices.
PLUS it has a rock creek that people are just natural drawn to.
And there is access to a sulfur water spring, where you can SLOWLY fill up drinking water containers. (It's best to refrigeate it, in order to remove the smell !!!)response / report this review -

This is where my wife and I got married, awesome venues, the indoor shelter that we used for our reception was awesome! Big commercial kitchen, plenty of seating, LOVED THE BBQ PIT! ALSO love to go camping here, pioneer, tent, or RV camping great amenities a good time had every time!

They did a bit of repaving of sidewalk outside one of the group camp barracks buildings, which is nice, though there's a sharp dropoff on either side. Looks like for the ramp up they didn't dig into the earth at all before laying the concrete; they just set up some 2x4s to make a channel and poured. The heater for the left barracks on the left fork of the road also was not functioning consistently, so it was as though we had no heat in 30-40 degree nights. Still a nice site though.

This is a really nice trail. It is not a difficult hike. The main trail is 6.5 miles round trip. We saw an armadillo. The armadillo became the main attraction with several hikers stopping to watch the armadillo's trek through the fallen leaves. This is a multi-use trail, so beware and be courteous of cyclists.

We rented the Family Shelter for our wedding. The point overlooking the lake behind the shelter was the perfect setting for our outdoor wedding. The shelter worked well for our reception. The shelter has a/c and heat, an adequate kitchen, screened-in BBQ pit and private restrooms. Every staff member we had contact with was friendly and helpful. We had a great experience!
