The front desk lady was horribly rude and very unprofessional. Heard her whisper to her coworker I dont have time for this. In my opinion if you get paid to work then you should prepare yourself for work. If you dont have time for this or that why are you even there!!!! Mind you all i asked was for pricing on rabies and distemper vaccines. Other places were much nicer and more professional.
I received phenomenal exotic animal (Guinea pig) care from Dr. Benson. He really cared about my little buddy's condition and went above and beyond to attend to him. He clearly cares and has a wide scope of medical knowledge, that put me at ease. He also preformed an ultra sound for free because he wasn't satisfied with the results data he got off the xray.
Highly recommend.
5 stars to the good doctor.
So far all our encounters have been great. Unfortunately ee have not been able to meet the vets because of Covid, but we know our pups love them.
I would like to thank this animal hospital for being so patient and kind with our dog. We took her in today and she has a lot of anxiety. I was so nervous just dropping her off at the door but as I watched them interact with her I knew she was in good hands! Maggie is not the easiest dog to deal with but they make it look easy. Thanks for being loyal and patient with my fur baby! Yes, I was that crazy person watching her to make sure she was OK but I knew she was in good hands!
Indian Prairie is one of the finest Animal Hospitals in the state! From the caring staff to the highly knowledgeable and skilled Veterinarians. You can trust your furry love one will receive expert care and service. IPAH treats you and your pet like family.
Would give no star if possible. Brought a dwarf bunny for a well check and he was given a great report. He also had his nails trimmed and something happened to him under their care because when we brought him home, he could not put weight on his back hock and one of his nails was ripped out. He stopped eating and it looked like he was in pain, so we brought him back. He got fluids and medicine, but unfortunately they must have broken his back leg because it sticks out to the side, as it did when the vet saw him the 2nd time. Horrible! We handled the bunny for years so it is possible to do it without breaking/dislocating bones- so their excuses that bunnies are fragile don't cut it. Either you know how to handle fragile animals, or you don't! Now we have an invalid bunny since summer. Their people that handle small animals like that for a nail trim- how much of an exotic pet expert are they? Ii is so disappointing, we had a perfectly healthy and happy bunny and ended up with an invalid- courtesy of their "care". Beware if you have a small pet as they clearly don't know how to handle one.
I really like this place! Everyone there seems to really care what happens regarding your beloved family member, especially Dr. Chatterjee! Every receptionist and technician I've dealt with is very friendly and knowledgeable! They all seem to go out of their way to make sure your family member is well taken care of! They won't "sugar coat" things just to make you happy. Their top priority is to insure that your family member is healthy and happy! I took my cat to another vet before this place and I didn't like them because they didn't seem to care. Indian Prairie Animal Hospital has shown me numerous times that they are here to make your family member healthy! To everyone in the Indian Prairie area, bring your beloved there if you care about your family's wellbeing!
Caring staff, knowledgeable Veterinarians, a bit pricey compared to other vet hospitals, but otherwise extremely good
I love this place. We have been coming here for years! Always great with all my animals.
They were good and knowledgeable with above average follow up. However, they are a bit pricey.
Very friendly staff who are attentive and easy to talk to and work with. They handle my cat in a way that keeps her calm and answered all of the questions I had.
Amaizing animal hospital. Dr took the time explain everything that needed to be done. Was so worried because our precious fur baby developed a limp. Turns out she is just getting older and developed arthritis. Gave me a lot of information did all the routine tests and vaccines. Everyone there was so great. Found our clinic for life.
This is a great veterinary office. I've brought all of my animals here for several years, the vets are numerous and knowledgeable. They are slightly more expensive, but you yet what you pay for. Highly recommended.
My (then 2 year old) Border Collie/Cattle Dog mix, Morgan was extremely ill. From the time we adopted her (at 8 week), she has experienced severe digestive and apsorption issues. We tried everything under the sun to help our sweet baby. The vet we had been going to just chalked it up to sensative stomach, after several x-rays, probiotics and Tests for parasites (which were negative). I was insistent that there was a bigger issue, but was dismissed. As sick as she was on a regular basis, she was still always energetic and could jump 10' in the air to catch a frisbee. One day, last September, she became so week she could barely even walk. I was devastated. When I called our regular vet they were very cold, and even unaccomadating about getting her in. A friend of mine urged me to get her in to Dr. Chatterjee right away, and that is what I did. Long and short of it (after some blood work to rule out a pancreatic disease)she was diagnosed with irritable bowel disease. We were given a powder for her food to help with the acute inflammation and infection, and she was put on prescription food. No more treats or bully sticks, just prescription food. As hard as that was, almost 6 months later our baby is healthy, happy, has gained some (much needed) weight, and is no longer having to live with chronic pain, nausea and issues with her stool. On top of the fact that he saved our sweet baby, he is incredibly kind and caring. As is the entire front desk staff. The facility is immaculate and beautiful. They also work with you with finding the most affordable options for treatments for your pet. I could go on and on, this is by far the best vet office ever!!
Dr. Ristich is such a wonderful Doctor!! There are many vets out there that will try to sell you vaccinations or things your dog doesn't really need. My poor puppy ate a piece of hard place and was very sad and did not want to play for about a week. I called and the ladies there were so helpful, and so caring to my puppy. Once I saw the doctor he asked me a few question advised me Lucy was good. He assured me that if i wanted to spend more money I can but that i shouldn't! I love this doctor I recommend this facility to everyone. So clean and beautiful. I wish we had more places like this one!.
My first encounter with this practice was on the sad occasion of the death of my 14 year old German Shepherd, who took an absolutely out of nowhere turn one morning. My own vet was closed, so I called IPAH and asked them to see him; they got him right in and made the unfortunate diagnosis of a ruptured tumor in his spleen. Dr Chatterjee waved the professional fees for the diagnostic ultrasound, and the entire staff was magnificently kind and supportive as I had to have my best friend put down.
A few weeks later I brought my lab in for his annual exam and vaccinations, plus to have a growth on his foot looked at that our old vet had casually diagnosed two weeks earlier as "a tumor--we'll watch it and if it's still there in a month it's probably cancer." Dr. Chatterjee examined the foot correctly and determined it was actually infected; prescribed antibiotics and a followup to determine the actual cause of the growth. He then gave me the option of three year vaccines--something I had never been offered in the past; changed our parasite control to a combination product instead of several different expensive products, and provided a complimentary pedicure. All of this cost less than the normal office visit and one year vaccines at my old vet. I see several reviews here complaining of price jacking at this place, but I am not seeing this at all. What I am seeing is outstanding professionalism, courtesy, and a place I feel confident my pets will get the best care possible.
