Horrible. Just horrible. The emergency room is a joke. Have waited over 3 hours to get some blood work done and nobody has any answers for you!!
One of the Dr's that I dealt with in the ER had the compassion of a rock. Seemed extremely disorganized, didn't read discharge papers from other hospital, even though I gave them a copy. Temperature in the exam room was 69 degrees (looked at the thermostat) and while my elderly mother sat there shaking while they medical staff was in room, never asked her if she was cold, etc. I finally had to get up and turn up the thermostat. Was not impressed with this hospital at all!
I have been treated with the up most professionalism at this hospital every time that I have been there from the check in to the surgical suite.
I got my gallbladder removed there. They scheduled my surgery within 7 days of my consult. They were so friendly amd comforting and they semt me a card after my surgery signed by all the nurses that cared for me and my surgeon. They just seem to really genuinely care. Id recomend them to anybody.
The ONLY reason I’m giving this place a one star is because I can’t make it a zero!! This place is awful!! My friend’s husband had to have surgery on his feet/leg because he had a stroke 3 years ago and this surgery is to get him up and walking again. He’s had it done there before and the nurses were awful didn’t do what they’re supposed to do and now today he just had surgery and he hasn’t been given his pain meds in almost 7 hours when it should be every 4, they’re treating him horribly, and my friend has already called them twice to get a nurse in there to give him his meds and they haven’t gotten to him yet!!!! They are awful!!! They need to all be fired!!! It’s ridiculous that this is how they’re acting!! I cannot believe this is an actual hospital!!! How they treat people is disgusting!!!! If I were you I would NEVER EVER go to this place!!! It’s awful!!!! The nurses there should be ashamed of themselves!!!!!!
Very pleased and impressed with the care I received yesterday in the ER. Not only was everyone friendly and caring they were also speedy! From entering the ER to discharge was only 3hours! And that's including having x-rays done! Definitely the best care I've received over every other states I've lived in !
Okay so the girl at the front desk at the ER Triage check in was sweet, the RN however with the light brown hair and pony tail with glasses was so RUDE! Nurses should be compassionate and patient advocates but she sure wasnt. She told me my niece looked perfectly fine and asked me to step aside. I'm sorry are you a Doctor? And then instead of kindly explaining proper protocol to me she was just so rude and told me they cant help me. Wow.
This place is a mess. I came here for the first time last night, and the staff was running around with their heads cut off and they were rude and short. I know that a hospital is always crazy and there is always some trauma happeneing but, these people got into the business of healing and helping people, therefore they should act like the care a little bit more. Also, they should organize their ER waiting room a little bit more efficiently as well. Overall, this was a stressful experience and many time I felt like just getting up and walking out without treatment.
Went in at 8pm with daughter who after accidentally falling was experiencing pain in her arm she couldn't get up without crying, we waited after checking in to emergency room for 2.5 hours before being ushered into a room, where we waited for 20 mins for the doctor, she examines my daughters arm and says she doubts anything is wrong with it and doesn't recommend X-rays. She wanted to just give us Tylenol. I had a feeling to ask for one regardless and after waiting for an X-ray tech, another 15 mins, and then to find out results took another 45 mins. And the result was that she had a fracture. So if we had followed the doctor's order she would have been in pain and we wouldn't known why. It's now 1:00 am and we just left. It took 5 hours! If anyone has an emergency go elsewhere, not only was the wait time ridiculous this place isn't worth having IU health plan, it's sketchy. Also husband was going to rinse out my daughters cup for water, asks the receptionist where he could do that. She points to a sink, he rinses it there, then she proceeds to tell him " sorry if there was blood in the sink she had just poured some blood down it"!!! WTF! disgusting.
In the 10 days I was there the Nurses and Doctors along with the rest of the staff were courteous and respectful! I would recommend this hospital to anybody. Especially to the Nurses on the 3rd floor next to ICU where I was there the BEST and I have to say that if you ever need something reagrdless of what time of day they will make sure that you get it albeit it might not be right away it will be done within 10 minutes.
I feel I must defend my favorite hospital. I have visited the ER several times and with one exception received prompt attention. The entire staff has always been friendly, helpful and respectful to me. I literally trust them with my life.
This hospital is extremely confusing on their diagnosis. I was told that I'm a risk for cardiac arrest and that my heart constantly needs to be monitored, yet I'm healthy enough to leave the hospital first thing in the morning. When I ask the doctor questions, I'm being told "Don't know. Your answer is don't know." Really? Let me go to 12 years of medical school to just look at a patient, shrug and say "Don't know." Seems like a good idea. They are treating me as in I'm in their way, that I need to leave so the "real emergency" patients can get a bed. But I can have a heart attack any minute??? Do not recommend.
