My package has been sitting here since November 22. I received another package that went through the same facility later. They are NOT operating on First-In-First-Out principles as they should. I even called and got through to someone, who sounded extremely tired and claimed "we are a first-in-first-out facility" until I told her another one of my packages had made it through later. She took my tracking number and phone number but I haven't heard anything back.

Totally unacceptable. My local USPS is great but whatever is going on in Chicago is a complete joke.

I have been trying to call these people to find out where my package is and no one will answer my calls. Then it says my package is sitting there and not getting on a plane to be shipped out. So what is going on with my package. It’s been there since November 24. It would be nice to here something from them after all my calls.

My package sitting there over one and half months USA-China. I called customer service. They’re going to investigate it. And 15 days after they called me back it was lost. Let me start my claim. How Is this possible? The package last update still at Chicago IL international distribution center. No any airline departure or airport arrive. Unless they use truck or any car ship my package. Even though they had scan it and update it. Or don’t tell me your airline dropped in the sea? Or they stole it? How could this be lost? No any evidence of this. They just told me file a lost claim. Irresponsible and rude customer service. At least they should tell me the truth. Don’t be easy to lie. They just wanted to close my case ASAP. So disappointed this place and customer service. If I could I will give less than 0 star.

Nov 17, 2021: Still no update on this package that has been in Customs since October 15, 2021. I guess I might as well forget about getting the package. Due to this behavior I have no choice but to stop ordering from China because I don't know which packages might end up at this facility.

UPDATE Nov 9, 2021: I was given a phone number to contact Consumer Affairs about my package that has been in customs since October 15, 2021. I ordered from DHGate on 9/23/21. Chicago is only 12.5 hours away from me, yet here I am still waiting on a package almost a month later. I sent an email to them last week and still no response from that.

Wow,
I had a package coming from the U.K., I thought it would take a couple weeks maybe a month. After not getting my package at 6 weeks I tried to call the sorting center to find out what was taking so long and the phone rang 5 times and then it went to voice-mail. I called several times and nobody ever answered. I thought it might be lost or stolen. FINALLY 3 months after it had arrived in Chicago I finally received my package. I was so excited to get it. It was pretty banged up, but it was finally at my house. So, there is hope. You just have to have A LOT of patience and hope that it's still coming.

I seen that other people are having issues here so i decided to give them a chance. it's been two weeks since my package was supposed to arrive and i know that's not such a long time compared to people who have had 2 months, but i called them to at least see an estimated delivery time and if at all possible, offer to pick it up myself from the facility, if that was even an option, but these people don't even answer the phone. I called them back to back for a straight hour 42 calls in total and NOT once did they pick up the phone. this facility should be investigated or at least get new employees. if that's not the problem than hire more people. for being a country with the most resources this is a sorry excuse for a government ran entity.

Final update: It has finally moved out of their facility, total waiting time was 15 days which is way too long in my liking but I’m happy it’s finally out of that facility. I don’t recommend what so ever.

My package from Lithuania has been at this facility since January. I asked my rural postal carrier. She said doesn’t know what’s going on with this place and that packages get stuck here all the time. I purchased some beautiful one of a kind custom made fabric for $365. Don’t bother calling the phone number, no one answers. I just moved 25 miles away to a different town. I really hope my package finds it’s way to me. I even purchased the extended mail forwarding option.

Although I have yet to receive my package- it only took about an hour after I sent an inquiry regarding its whereabouts for their staff to reach out to me by phone with an update. Considering this is an international hub, I was surprised how quickly they called me to touch base. I’m very appreciative of the staff for giving me an update, they seem to be on top of things. I advise that all of you complainers and 1 star givers ought to take a step back and think about how much mail comes through this place. They are doing their best so just be patient!

I had seen that the ISC Chicago USPS Facility has a pretty bad rating on here. I realize that some of these ratings are probably from several years ago, or more. But I would like to post that I believe that they are hopefully having a turn around in there ability to fulfill people's needs. They have excellent customer service, and the operator was amazing to deal with. If you have a package that's taking you a while to be delivered, and when you enter your tracking number into the USPS tracking service, and it says that it's being processed at the ISC Chicago IL USPS, don't hesitate to give them a call, they'll let you know why it's being delayed.

I had mailed a package that arrived in Chicago December 13, 2020. USPS updated there delivery status on December 17th. Now it's February 20, 2021 package is still sitting in Chicago. People who works at this Facility needs to be held accountable or terminated. I've have bought numerous items online internationally and the longest it took was 30 days but 2 months is just ridiculous.
I guess I won't be mailing any international packages in the near future with USPS not worth my time

While I was reading through many of the Google ratings, I slowly had to accepted the fact that my package's fate will now be decided by this distribution center. When will it arrive? Is someone about to steal it? Will I ever hear about it again?
Surprisingly, my package departed within 10 hours after I have been notified of the arrival in Chicago. So I really cannot give a bad rating here. Maybe I was one of the lucky ones.

Came here to get answers. Pretty bummed seeing all the negative reviews. I have received about 5 packages pretty quick from this facility but my recent packages have been sitting for a week. Of course I’m giving it some time because a week isn’t much time but praying they don’t sit for months. These were supposed to be Valentine’s giftsstill holding on to possibly getting them by then.

This site needs an option for negative stars. Three months after sending a package first class it still hasn't arrived. It should have been delivered in 4 days. I have received 27 different excuses as to why it is still siting in Chicago.

Ordered something from UK on December 6th, 2020. It made it to ISC Chicago on December 23rd and it has since NOT MOVED. Againsitting on a pallet since 12/23/2020 and today is 2/2/21. This item was meant to be a Christmas gift for my daughter and we knew it would probably not make it for Christmas but never dreamed it would sit in a United States facility for over 40 days. What is the problem? Do the workers not care that people are waiting on packages. Are you under staffed? Post master general needs to look into the delays happening at this location NOW and figure out a solution. In all of my 38 years on Earth and the last 20 as an adult using the US postal system, I have never had this happen with anything I have mailed or ordered shipped with USPS. Chicago ISC you have got to do better. Who is in charge of what is going on with this place? Why is there nothing being done? We are the greatest country in the world and service like this is unacceptable and there is no good excuse.

These guys are the slowest shipping service in the Midwest. Bought an item off ebay and took forever for these dumbasses to ship to me. Their facility is a state away from me. I'm tired of waiting on these jackasses!!!

My case. Priority mail box 5lbs paid $ 90.95. Its said on bix and qebsite 6. To 10 days. Mailed from chicago on march 27th 2017. It was. Received by usps faciltiy at ord on same day. As per tracking as of now april 5 2p17 it is still lyong at there.no other info .it suppoawd to be recieved by the addressee now. Worst usmail. 9 days still in customs.
