Our Whirlpool French Door fridge was bought on June 11. On July 12th it went out. I called Whirlpool of course and they said they would not honor the warranty unless IAM fixed it, so thinking I had no choice Whirlpool set up our repair. (Found out that wasnt true) The absolute soonest IAM could come out was August 2nd! So after 3 weeks with no fridge August 2nd finality gets here. I had made arrangements for my aunt to be here, as my son had a Dr. Appointment, but by 2:00 no call or nothing so I called them. They took us off the schedule because we did not call to confirm our appointment. AT NO POINT AND TIME WAS I TOLD I HAD TO CALL AND CONFIRM!! The lady I was speaking with was extremely rude telling me to check my answer machine that unless they actually speak to the owner they won't come out, because Whirlpool has a bad habit of screwing up addaresses. AGAIN! I WAS NEVER TOLD THIS! ! She rudely stated she had left a message for us to call. BUT even after I explained that was impossible because our phone had been out due to some power thing she still insisted she did. Our phone wasout for about a week. After all that she stated she could try to have someone out here the following week. I hung up. She called back and said it might be possible yet today to get someone here. I went to Lowe's and they did an even up exchange for a brand new fridge, NOT A WHIRLPOOL! After Lowe's did an awesome job, my son calls and tells me what all was wrong with the old one and that the guy would call to set up an appointment when the parts came in. Now I don't know about you, but over a month with no fridge wouldn't fly for anybody working here what on earth makes you think it's ok to do this to a customer? Our new fridge will be here Friday and Lowe's gave a list of places that repair and you were crossed off!

This company came to my home multiple times for the same problem with no fix! Every time seemed like they were making excuses to get out of doing any work or making the repair. The last few times they were there, they claimed to have replaced parts which took care of the problem, only to return home at the end of the day to find the same problem with my washer. I would not recommend this company to anyone!! Even the receptionist who answers the phone is rude. All of the reviews I have read before mine are absolutely true, 1 star is too many!

I have used IAM Appliance for all my Appliance repairs for 30+ years. They have always delivered great service and have been very helpful and reasonable. This is a small family owned business. IAM makes every effort to accommodate my busy schedule when they can. I'm not their only customer and I understand that. I'm reasonable with them and they in turn are reasonable with me. I hope to use this company for another 30+ years.

We've used IAM several times including this past week. They always call with a window and arrive in that window. Their service reps are always pleasant and professional. They've always done a good job. We've used them for over 15 years.

Worst Company Ever. Came out to do repairs on my brand new refrigerator, left it in worse shape than before they came. They damaged some trim pieces during the repair and made me call Whirlpool to report it under warranty. I called and scheduled the repairs, they ordered parts that took six weeks to come in. When they were in, I didn't return their voicemail fast enough and they returned the parts. After contacting Whirlpool AGAIN, they refused to complete the repairs and lied to Whirlpool about the situation. Terrible company, call someone else!

First off, if there was a negative star on here, I'd have this place rated -5 stars. I had called whirlpool for a repair on a fridge that was missing a part. They had contacted a contractor, IAM Appliance Service in Piqua, Ohio. The so called "technician" came while I was out for an emergency. I had the back door unlocked where he could easily come in where the fridge was. They asked me to have a copy of the receipt showing when the fridge was purchased. I had left it on the counter next to the fridge where the technician couldn't miss it. This technician calls me to tell me that he was at my house, I tell him to go ahead and go in if he doesnt mind. I also asked him if i needed to be there, he said "no, I will take care of it." I also told him that the receipt for the fridge was on the counter. While I was out the whole day, I come home and there was no change to the fridge that was supposed to be repaired. No note, no phone call back, no feed back. I had to call in and ask. They inform me that the receipt I had on the counter wasn't "a proper receipt." I emailed them the a copy of this receipt and whomever i spoke to said it was absolutely acceptable and that the part has been ordered. First off, I dont think the technician didnt come in the house at all and tried to get out from having to work since everything was in the same exact place I had everything in. The fridge wasnt touched one bit. Moving on, I made the follow up call the day after(tuesday 9/13) since i came home late. This was also the time they supposedly ordered the part. I received a call from them on friday(9/16) informing me that the part has not arrived and will do so on monday(9/19). Currently, I am writing this on a tuesday(9/20), after I spoke to them. I spoke to a lady and told me the part will not be in until after October. I was very disappointed and was tranferred to the parts department. They said they ordered the top left hinge for the fridge when it was the left bottom hinge that needed repaired. All they kept saying was the part was on back order. How can such a rarely used part be on back order??? I expressed my disappointment to this person I was talking to and he had the nerve to say "if you want we can cancel the part and the appointment." I told them to go ahead and I will call whirlpool directly to send another company that is reliable and doesnt drag their feet on such small repair. IAM Appliance Service is the absolute worst. Very unprofessional and unreliable. Don't know how this place is still open.
