This place put a transmission in for me 2 yrs ago and now the transmission acted up soon after I got it done and claimed it was the Electronics with the transmission. Had my car for 3 days and never gave me an estimate or blew me off when I called them. The owner knew I only had 1 car and needed my car then to charge me $500 & stated that was a great deal. I will never go there again and don't go there either unless U like to be ripped off and listen to some BS story. How do they sleep at night doing this to people I will never know. The Sheriff's Department stopped taking there vehicles there now IC why.

The owner Pete is a big scam artist took my SUV the insurance didn't cover it charged me 650 for just dropping my trans! I had full motor swaps for 600-800!!!! Didn't even have to put it back in I told him to leave it out I'll pick up my SUV said he would box up all my trans parts professionally before the insurance said no on covering an he said he would drop my car off no charge .so after no go with insurance he threw all my trans parts in a bin like it was all garbage an threw the air box in my front passenger door scratched my glow box! Then tells me his guy is backed up I got to pay for the tow!!! This owner of this business is a peace of shi*******!!!!!!!!!! Stay away!!!

Do Not I repeat!! Do not support these crooks!!! I had my car cvt transmission rebuilt quoted at $3,000 by the owner. They took over 3 wks to "fix" the car, and anytime I called just to find out the status they kept saying someone would call me back and no one ever did. I was so frustrated I finally said I am coming today to get my car. When I got there, not only did the owner change the price to $5000. Which I know he lied about because I was calling around to get the best deal and I wrote it down after he gave me the quote. He then says well I have to pay 1500 for their time if I don't want it fixed.Really, So I paid the $3,000 on the premise of if i need to use the warrany I have to pay the balance and went home. If that wasn't enough, as soon as I made it to my block at home the car stopped in the middle of the street. I called furious and they were closing so they assured me first thing in the morning they would tow my car back. If 11am is first thing in the morning than I guess they were right. They kept my car a few days and when it was time to pick it up they promised to also have it detailed. But yet again it was a different story once I got my car. Now there was a large cup of ice tea, cigarette ashes on my seat and ash tray opened, and grease stains on my seat and floor. And I do not smoke!!! I could not believe the lack of service and just disgusting behavior from a business. I have never experienced worse service in my life. When I spoke to the owner he justified the mechanics behaviour, and I quote, "Well maam my guy had to drive your car a long distance, he was in your car sitting for awhile trying to find the problem." So that gives him the right to smoke in my car! To drink AND not throw away his garbage!! This experience happened last year and I had the same problems for months until I just bought a new car. But please I wish I would have never gave them my time or money. Do Not Support this Business!!!!!!!!!

Trans on our '07 Ford Fusion went out on a trip to Wisc. Left car at Ford dealer, who found the control module had failed ($600 part + labor=$1200). Error codes fixed, but all the soft parts were trashed, since the fluid was black; it just slipped too much to drive. Had it towed to our house (South suburbs) where I-65 picked it up (free). The tow driver missed picking it up on Friday, but called and was most apologetic Monday; he wondered if we still wanted it taken in, & I told him we did. $2K for a complete (hard & soft parts) rebuild, done in a reasonable amount of time, and it works flawlessly. They even replaced the speed sensor, which didn't show any problem until *after* everything else was fixed. Almost NO dealer (or repair shop, for that matter) would have eaten the cost to replace the sensor, as I couldn't prove that it was faulty when it came in. The fact that the owner told me *immediately* that there would be no charge says volumes about their integrity; I wish there were a more stores like them closer to where I live. If it matters, I drove my own vehicles commercially for 35 years -- in cars, vans, straight trucks, and semis - over a million miles, the lion's share of which was in the Chicago Metro Area. I earned the Order of the Skinned Knuckle many years ago, since we did our own maintenance for the first 25 years. I've dealt with dealers, small shops, big shops, and shade tree mechanics, and can confidently say that I wish all our service providers had been as honest and reasonably priced as I-65 was. BTW, the gentleman I spoke with was named Pete - ask for him if you're getting a repair. I-65 had the best price & guarantee (within at least a 30-mile radius) from all the phone shopping we did. Lifetime warranty on labor (at their shop, which can be upgraded to nationwide coverage (more $$$)) -- which we couldn't find anywhere else. They're not perfect, & the shop is no trendy cafe. But I'd go back there in a minute if I had a problem with my other car's trans. I give them 5 stars -- which I almost *never* do. There may be negative reviews, but most people don't have hands-on experience with a lot of repairs - I do. Some folks have unreasonable expectations and get upset when they're not met. Others get an unlucky combination of events that make it seem like they're getting shafted when they're not -- that has happened to me, too. Still others are simply never pleased, and always being a "victim". If you're always a victim, don't bother shopping there. If not, I heartily recommend them.
