Nice hotel at a convenient location right off the freeway. Updated and stylish entry/reception and waiting area. Conference rooms are in excellent shape. Breakfast buffet is one to look forward to.

The room was huge, especially for the price we paid. Very clean and nicely decorated. The staff were all really polite and helpful. Complimentary breakfast was delicious. They had a pretty decent spread. I def plan on staying here again.

Great location, easy to get to. Informal restaurant/bar off of the lobby has good selection and good service. Have stayed multiple times, staff is always friendly, pool/fitness area is well-maintained, all in all a good choice.

We have stayed here three times now and have always had a pleasant experience. Rooms were always very clean and the staff is welcoming and friendly. We take our dogs with us when we travel most of the time, and we really love how dog friendly they are. Continental breakfast is also wonderful here.

I stayed at this hotel recently with my husband and it was just PERFECT! It was beautiful and quiet. The staff was exceptionally helpful and kind. We live about 10 minutes from this hotel, but certainly will use this hotel often as a getaway from kids. What a perfectly calm and relaxing setting. The layout of the rooms was the most exciting to me. It was very different than the norm. The use of space was brilliant and comfortable. Great Job, Hyatt South!! I will definitely be back and I will be having all family stay here when in town for holidays. LOVE IT! THANK YOU!

I stayed at this hotel two nights. I gave it 5 stars the first night. On day 2 early in the AM a strong storm struck Western Michigan and knocked out power to the area. By late morning some power was restored to the hotel and staff was forced to offer either rooms with air conditioning or rooms with lights with little hope for full power for 2 days. My original room had lights but no AC. The staff found me and my family a room with AC and a working TV. The staff was amazing and positive throughout a trying situation and I would give them a 10 star rating if possible. My family thanks Hyatt Place Grand Rapids South for an excellent stay even when circumstances were difficult.

Went here on a week long trip for work and was highly satisfied. The staff was welcoming, polite, accommodating, and friendly. The food was a much better quality than I had expected from a hotel. The room was amazing and the cleaning staff cleaned the room every day. The view wasn't that great because it's just expressway on one side and businesses on the other. I'm a night shifter so I would prefer darker blinds. But other than that it's a great hotel and I will most certainly request to go here on my next training assignment for work or if I take a trip to this side of the state!

Loved my stay at this Hyatt. Rooms are a great size and always very clean. Breakfast was a little slammed, but they got food out fast enough that it wasn't terribly bad.

The room was very nice but a little small. Large flat screen tv that swiveled to be able to see from the couch or in bed. Very comfortable, large bed. The walk in shower was gorgeous, but I didn't like that the only light in that part of the bathroom was the fan with a light that was a little dim. But the ladies at the front desk were awesome and very accommodating when we rang down for more pillows. Will definitely stay again.

This was a basic no-frills hotel. That is what we wanted-basically a place to sleep. Clean, well maintained and quiet. I just don't understand why those basic criteria need to cost so much! We stay at hotels A LOT and I get annoyed if I have to pay over $100 a night. This was $148. Just too much for no-frills.
