Food is good for prices. Large portions! I go here during lunch. Much better than Peachtree Center options and cheaper than surrounding restaurants.

It’s been a long time since we’ve had Chinese food (and growing up/living in southern CA, we’d been exposed to a lot of it) so we decided to seek it out while in Atlanta. As vegetarians/vegans, it’s doable but generally difficult to eat when on the road, but Hsu’s had plenty for us to eat. The flavors were so good and classic that we literally ate ever bit of our three entrees and all the rice (only two of us)! A few different waiters/servers may have commented on our inhalation of the food — but it was that good. Thanks, guys!

We had reservations for 10+ for lunch on Dragon Con and they were great! Table was ready right after the parade and they had specialty drinks. The service was great. Friendly and fast!
I had the stir fried tofu and vegetable dumplings. Everything was super tasty! I was super impressed. The drinks were also great!
They server chocolate dipped cookies with the bill that were yummers!response / report this review -

One of my favorite lunch spots. Host always remembers me when I come in. Even after being gone for so long. Bartender is good people.

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER. The food is good but overrated. Anyway, I nicely payed 50$ for some noodles the waitress was nice. But when I was giving the tip a lady manager or maybe the owner come saying in a very rude way that "it wasn't enough that I HAVE to give her more" I was like I give the tip that I can and that I want, take it or leave it. She treated me so bad cause I didn't give her 1 or 2$ more than she expected and despised my money in a very rude way. She ended up pushing me towards the exit while I was going out! I couldn't believe the hole situation, I've never experienced anything like that. I was having a nice dinner but she was the worst. I'll never ever come back.

IF I COULD GIVE A LOWER RATING I WOULD!! Me and my husband were on a vacation to Atlanta for our 11th anniversary. We are from Arkansas and have eaten at Chinese restaurants around the state. We are fortunate to have good restaurants in close proximity to us. While in Atlanta we wanted to eat good meals, after seeing that the Pacific Rim was closed we seen this place had good reviews. We ordered the ginger shrimp and spicy basil beef. This food was by far the worst order off the menu Chinese food we have ever eaten! It was both tasteless and insulting given the price. For our two meals plus two beers and some dumplings we paid $81! This was the worst and most expensive dining of our whole trip. We strongly advise you seek somewhere different to eat if given the chance.

I had the Spicy Basil Beef with steamed rice. The beef was cooked perfectly, temperature wise, however the flavors were surprisingly bland. I expected more bc I checked the reviews first

Very good Chinese restaurant with a respectable reputation. A favorite for locals, the convention crowd and celebrities. Go sit at the bar a speak with Rufus the bartender extraordinaire, he will keep you hydrated with liquid refreshments and entertained with laughs. However, it is a must to order chef Sonny's off menu delightful Chili Prawns, they are the best dish you never knew existed

Great food – it's often hard to find good gourmet Chinese when takeout is so popular. Had the Basil Steak, wife had the General Tsu's Chicken. Both were delicious, and I was astonished at how quickly our food was brought out after ordering! Service was attentive and responsive. Highly recommend!

We were on a budget so stuck with appetizers, soups and noodles. The Entrées are very pricey. Food tasted great! Good place for a first date though bar can get noisy.

I enjoyed my visit to Hsu's, but was surprised at the high cost.
There are two seating spaces in the restaurant, the bar and the main restaurant. I was directed into the restaurant and given a comfortable seat at the back of the low-lit room with neat cutlery holders and robust cutlery. My waiter was friendly and attentive.
I ordered a Shanghai Tea drink which was full of taste and a perfect accompaniment, for me, to the combined rice and chicken curry I ordered.
The portions, in my opinion, were significant. Two full plates arrived and, whilst not ashamed to say I ate it all as I had had no lunch, on a regular day I'm sure food would have been wasted. It may be best to share some portions.
The chicken curry wasn't particularly special and neither was the rice. It wasn't bad at all, but for the price I paid I was expecting something a little more.
Overall I think I enjoyed being waited on, the quick service and the quality and experience of the restaurant.
I'm doubtful that I'd return again, but still glad I visited once.response / report this review
