This is a great little camping and day-use park along the river. Boat launch, river access, modern and clean bathrooms, playgrounds for big and little kids. A good mix of trees and open spaces.
Very clean and level spots they are taking care of this place really well
Nicely kept grounds. Showers available. Not too expensive. Boat launch and playground. Great place to watch when eagles come in.
This river is near my home. My dogs absolutely love it there & so do I.
One of our favorite campgrounds, visit multiple times every year.
Rusty and the crew keep everything top notch.
Oh yeah! For all you who have a problem with the way Rusty runs the place, you' re welcome to keep right on driving so the rest of us that enjoy the place are not bothered by people who can't follow simple rules and camping edicate.
Nice park with reasonable rates right on the river. Had a great time, will definitely return!
No sewer hookups just dump station.
Otherwise great place to stay
Just had an encounter with the guy that is running the park. Went to the play area with the rope climbing structure with my adult daughter and her eight year old and baby. Then we went down to the river. When leaving this guy literally chased us down in the parks dept truck to tell us that we were not allowed to be there on the weekends because there have been a lot of thefts. I have heard nothing but bad things about this guy. This is a county park that my tax dollars pay for and I should be able to use the park without being harassed by this guy.
Great campgrounds! I wanted to give it one star so nobody else would go there
Our Church group just spent our third year there and we loved it!
Great mountain view right on the river one of the cleanest nicest parks I've ever been in and rusty Regan is awesome as a park manager keeps the place emackulent kyle is assistant ranger very knowledgeable of area quite friendly very helpful couldn't ask for nicer people
After a slog up I-5 from Olympia through heavy traffic made us road weary, HMSP was an oasis. Clean, flat, grassy campsites along a glacial river lined with cottenwood trees. Clean bathroom and shower. WiFi, power and water for $30/night. Hit the spot!
It is not just a day use area to fish or watch Bald Eagles but also a great place to camp and be safe!
Ranger Rusty is rude, but love everything perfect for families fishing rafting BBQ&gorgeous walking trails&local hiking is surrounding you
Great little park! No garbage cans, so be prepared to take your trash with you.
