The hotel staff isn't what it use to be. I sure miss the friendliness and the professionalism of the past employees, the current ones I found to be lacking kindness.I am highly dissapointed in the front desk clerks. I've been staying at the bellwether for years and I'd prefer to stay elsewhere for that reason alone.. and I have.
When my company puts me up there I'll stay but to use my own cash.. I'd rather give my business elsewhere.

We had a memorial service here, in the compass room. Staff was exceptional, food was top notch. I hear the rooms are wonderful too.

Everything about this place is exceptional. The front desk check-in experience Was perfect. I wish I could remember her name, warm welcome with great suggestions about Bellingham in general and fun and interesting things to do in the hotel. The room (absolutely spotlessly clean) had an incredibly comfortable king size bed and was amazing with a sunken living room and large spa all facing the water over a nice sized balcony. Sunday nights they have a very nice live jazz show in a small intimate room off the main lounge. The entire staff was friendly, had smiles on their faces, and constantly asked if there was anything they could do to make our stay more enjoyable. This was my second time here for a romantic getaway weekend. *****Very highly recommend the Bellwether Hotel!!!

A class act,beautiful location,nice appointments and comfortable too. I met friends there we had drinks and munchies it was easy, homey, felt good. Check it out, new experience are necessary to grow right!

Very nice hotel in a great town. Love that they are pet friendly and they are very accommodating for those of us that travel with our dogs. There are a couple of upscale restaurants within walking distance. We had a first floor room, with a gas fireplace, that overlooked the marina. Clean room with very nice grounds and provided a great nights sleep. Looking forward to our next visit.

Room: was very clean and guest service was great. We added the "romance package" and they let us trade the champagne for wine, which was more expensive, with no extra charge.

Parking: was easy. Once you get your room key you have access to a secure parking lot under the hotel. 1 minute walk tops to your room.

View: was awesome. Right on the water with a balcony. We were lucky and had live music outside to listen to.

Pros: clean, good service, good location, Netflix capable TV (if you're in to that), 3 minute walk from your room to Anthony's Restaurant

Cons: little pricey all said and done. If you're a Tea drinker, bring your own tea and request hot water from the front desk. 3$ for one cup of tea if from the hotel restaurant. And don't eat at the restaurant, food is not very good.

Had a room reserved for my wife's birthday the woman who booked it weeks previously ended up booking it a week off from the date we had asked for. We never got to stay because they were fully booked when we arrived for the date we had requested. Then they handled it by telling us they didn't know what they could do about it.

We loved our stay at the bellwether! We were celebrating our one year anniversary and the hotel and accommodations we're very nice. We loved our room (fireplace, very open, jetted tub) and we were very happy with the location. I would definitely recommend this hotel for special occasions:)

Very nice hotel. Great customer service. Located very close to the ocean and the marina which provides a lot of beautiful views. There are a few nice walks nearby which makes staying at the hotel lot of fun. It IAS pretty friendly so we brought our dog with us and there were plenty of activities nearby for him to have fun as well. Definitely recommend this place.

This was a wonderful place to stay! Beautiful grounds, very clean lobby, the room was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. The staff was hardworking, cheerful and helpful. Jen, on the waitstaff, was exceptional! We have stayed in many hotels and this was a very pleasurable experience. Highly recommend if you're going to be near this area.

An upscale place on the water and a great place to grab a cocktail and an appetizer. Brunch is also very good. Dinner is good, but a wider variety on the menu would make it even better. The food is always done right!

My boyfriend and I went to the Hotel Bellwether for dinner. We had only ever been there for breakfast before and wanted to try their dinner menu. It was a very different feeling in the evening. Breakfast is delicious, but fairly casual with a mix of more upscale dishes and classics. I felt very comfortable in a sundress or nice jeans with my boyfriend and his son in shorts. Dinner us much more upscale and incredibly romantic. I probably would not bring a child for dinner, but I'm sure the staff would be accommodating if we did. We had oysters as an appetizer and I ordered a salad and the clams in broth and my boyfriend ordered the duck with sweet potato gnocchi. Everything was delicious for our romantic evening overlooking the water. There was even live music!

The hotel has a vintage feel, and is truly eccentric. I love the fact that it's right by the bay, and has all of the local conveniences of Bellingham. Downtown is nearby, and there are plenty of restaurants. I would highly suggest staying here - it's beautiful.
