Really cool place, went here with my prom group the moment we walk through the door the guy was a straight jerk. we were told to be there 15 minutes early but when I told the guy he gave us a dirty look and said wait a minute so We did then when we got in the water my buddy barely jumped in he came running down and was just waiting to yell at us I said sorry then he just walked off. But when we were leaving I was going to say something about customer service but then I decided to be the bigger person. Then the worker came up to me and tapped my shoulder and said " Hey thanks for starting my day off this way" i said what way and he said " a shi*y way, the moment you guys walk through that door I knew what kind of group you were" then he proceeded to say " you guys left life jackets all over the place" then I looked back and there was three laying there only one of them was ours. Moral of the story is it's a really cool place to go but don't expect anybody nice just unhappy people with life.

I'm sure the hotel and everything is great.this review is for the crater itself. Look deeper into Google images to see what I speak of. You won't get to swim, and there is no life guard on duty because you're required to enjoy a short float with a life jacket on. No jumping or God forbid you put your head under water. What looked to be a relaxing experience at a "posh" retreat at a gorgeous natural hot spring was actually a fight for water space with the 25 other floating people you share the time slot with. The top is covered and the sky is not visible. Enjoy the pics and the hot tub at your hotel instead.

Pretty awesome to say I’ve swam in a crater. The water was warm but I’m not sure how dirty it really is. We had snorkeling gear but I only saw bubbles from the scuba divers. Cool experience for sure. I think it’s worth a visit if you’re about an hour or less away.

Poor staff, bad communication, not told what to expect about the time limit.
When I got to the Activity Center to pay, the woman at the counter was on a personal phone call, and didn't even acknowledge me or make any indication she was going to help me for several minutes.
When I did pay, I was not told anything. Further, in my 3 main interactions with the staff, when I called in January to make reservations, when I paid at the Activity Center, and when I checked in the rock tunnel desk, I was not told at all that there was a 40 minute time limit. Had I known that I was paying $16 per person to only spend less than an hour to swim, I would have gone to a 2 hour movie for $10 instead.
I came here 2 years ago in the winter of 2016, and I was able to spend over 2 hours swimming, also for $16. That was worth it. $16 for 40 minutes is a rip off. And, I was never told what I was paying for before hand.
Not worth it. Go to Diamond Fork Canyon, and enjoy Fifth Water Hot Springs for free, or even make the 2 hour drive to Monroe and enjoy Mystic Hot Springs for the same price, but you can stay as long as you want in the water, even all night (I've soaked at Mystic till 3 am in the past).response / report this review -

I was at the clubhouse jacuzzi and a gentleman recommended checking out this hot spring.
We had a group of 10 people and managed to snag a reservation for the last time slot (7:30pm). Tickets were I believe $14 and you have an option to go scuba diving if you wish at an extra charge.
There is plenty of parking and if you arrive early, you can check out the ice castle right next door.
Wear you bathing suits underneath your clothes because changing rooms are limited and there’s usually a line because the group before your time slot is getting out to change.
There are two small side pools. The right side is where the scuba divers come in. Then there’s the large area where the depth reaches about 60 feet? Careful not to drop anything in. Life vests must be worn at all times (can’t wear it like a diaper). It was nice and steamy in there. Loved every moment of it except getting out because it was freezing cold but they had some space heaters going.

What a great place created by nature. It is incredible to see crater of water and its beautiful blue colored water. It is disappointing what commercial use has done with it. If you are going to swim you will be required to wear a life jacket and you cannot jump, dive, or splash. While we were there someone sitting on the dock pushed off into the water and one of the crew yelled at the whole group of swimmers and threatened to kick everyone out. We were minding our own business and got yelled out for no reason because of someone else. It was awkward and unprofessional. I was not impressed by the staff or the way it is managed. We will not be visiting this location again.

Massive disappointment if you're from any of the coasts. I've been diving/freediving for 16 + years with multiple certs in South Florida and this is the first time I was yelled at for going three feet under the water with a jacket. This place is an absolute joke. Waivers would be nice for freedivers and not just reserve the hole for scuba. Maybe the grouchy old man in the cave too can take a few lessons on customer service as well. Or maybe take a long dive in a short hole.

This place is the definition of wasted potential, drove 2 hrs down after being given incorrect information by the staff over the phone. The staff was very rude and you can do literally nothing expect float in a life jacket. Please don’t waste your time or money. Place itself was cool but the management ruins it.

Swimming in the crater is pretty fun, especially when there aren't 40+ scuba divers going in and out of the water.
For the first half of our hour, we were there with just a few other people, and it was nice. The water is the perfect temperature.
But then dozens of scuba divers showed up, so it got real noisy, crowded, and it's crazy how much you are pushed to the edge, as soon as those divers are below you. Apparently because the divers are releasing so much oxygen from their tanks when they breathe, it causes the pool to kind of bow in the middle, thus pushing any swimmers down towards the wall of the crater. You almost have to be actively paddling lightly to avoid being stuck up against the wall. It's not ideal being there with all those scuba divers, but I'm not sure how you can avoid that, calling ahead maybe? It's definitely worth trying out just for the experience though. I think I'll be coming back sometime.response / report this review -

This would would be cool if they would let you free dive and the employees weren't so grouchy. But they make you wear a life jacket the whole time and you have to stay on the surface. Way over priced too

Always would stop by to admire the crater and feel the warm water. Will be taking my daughter here. Nancy Simmons was fast at replying to my email, and gave me helpful information. The man at the front desk is always kind as well! Great people here!

This is a unique experience. The water is always 95° and 65 feet deep. There is limited space, however, so they only allow so many people in at a time. Also, you can only stay in the crater for so long, so they don't overlap with the next group of people. Don't expect a clean and luxurious environment. This is a natural hot-spring, and there are signs of mineral corrosion everywhere. For safety reasons, there are several rules to follow. We wanted to swim instead of scuba-diving, so they made us wear life-vests the whole time. They have snorkels you can borrow, but I recommend you bring your own. Not much sunlight comes in the hole in the ceiling, so it is dimly lit. The divers underneath us were constantly stirring up the sediment, so the water was somewhat murky. Don't go with the expectations that this is a tranquil day-spa environment. You also can't horse around like at a waterpark. That being said, I encourage you to check it out. Once you know what to expect, you can have fun.

I had a wonderful experience. The water feels so good at 95 degrees. The bottom at 65 feet was sweet! Visibility was pretty good at about fifteen feet. If you're a diver, it's a cool dive to head to the bottom and do a little exploring. Sticking your hand in the sand at the bottom and feeling the hot water coming up around you is pretty amazing! Jolly good time!

It's a good facility and really nice to take a dip in the winter time. If you find yourself in park city it's not too far from there. Definitely worth checking out. They do have changing rooms but they are tiny and it is often cold so be ready!
