We absolutely love this park. The kids can spend all day playing here. We love the trails and its good exercise. It's pretty diverse which is a plus for me. Only positive things to say.
I remember the first time I stumbled upon this place. I just happened to be driving by and saw these pillars. I had to stop.
This is one of my favorite places in the city. Not only are the restored 'Ruins" breathtaking and accessible, but the trails are a true gem in the city. They lead down to the White River and are some of my favorite trails in the city.
Oh and I happened to propose to my wife there, if that tells you something.
Love this park! Great to bring kids & dog. Trails are great fun and exploring. Even have some ruins you can check out plus The Best Playground ever!
Great park for walking around, enjoying nature and taking photos. They also have a fairly new splash area for when it is warm. The trails in the woods are good for hiking and the nature center is good for bathroom breaks and looking at the things to see in the center itself. Also the Ruins area is now beautiful!
I have fond memories of this park as a child. Recently rediscovered it, and I'm glad to see that it's still great. I didn't know that in addition to the main park portions, there is an extensive set of trails in the back, which go down around the White River. Really fun place to go hang out.
My family and I love visiting this park. Great place for kids to run and play. Water play available in the summer at the historic structure. Nature center is very interactive. Playgrounds are awesome.
Love this place! The ruins are beautiful, but for a toddling toddler, it was the perfect place for her to enjoy the fountain and play in the water! Thank you for the wonderful wooden beach chairs to relax in while visiting. There are updates being made there, so be watchful of the "Do Not" signs, however, there is walking trails, historical readings, etc. This is just a beautiful park to enjoy!
This is a lovely park. It wasn't hard to find street parking on the weekend, and the park seems well-cared for. There's a lot of green space, both in the sun and shade, and it was perfect to put down a blanket for my baby daughter to sit on and play. There are restrooms available, which is important!
Best park in the city! Huge open spaces. Plenty of hiking, including access to the White River. Great visitor's center. Plus 3 big playgrounds, one for smaller kids and one sort of for bigger kids. Great place for all your outdoor needs.
Nice place, great playground. All well kept. Be sure to check out the bird watching area, from inside the nature center. Certainly one of the best parks Indy has to offer.
Beautiful park! Love the ruins, great place to take a relaxing walk. Nature center is great for kids too! Nice bathrooms as well.
This park is a great place to go for picnics. The playground area was spectacular. I am not a hiker, but the trail was awesome. I will visit this park again until it gets too cold to go.
Hiking is hilly. Great view of the White River. largest playground I know of in the Indianapolis area. Nice area constructed to look kind of like Greek ruins containing statues from old construction in New York City.
My kiddos are screen junkies, but they never complain when we take a day to unplug and just go exploring here. Such a peaceful park, always fun to do the trails and end their day with a couple hours on the NUMEROUS huge playgrounds. It's their favorite park, by far. We normally go to Southeastway Park, but they constantly beg for this place. The Rock Garden is my favorite spot.
