Was traveling south, and this was the first hotel with a vacant room.
The staff is very friendly and helpful.

Hiking the Appalachian trail and this hotel located in convenient location to trail, yes rooms are dated but beds are very comfortable and shower works well and the pool is nicely located in the full sun, close to restaurants and shops. All that is needed after hiking I can assure you. If your complaining about this hotel after roughing it on the trail your just miserable people and doubt anything would keep you happy 😊

Spent a couple nights here as an AT hiker along with several friends. The rooms are old and some are repurposed, for instance, one room had 2 beds but only one headboard and the second bed blocked the door to the adjoining room. The rooms are spacious, fairly well maintained, and clean. I did have a cold shower one morning, but the beds are comfy and I slept great.

We upon seeing the room decided because of it's poor condition asked for a refund and we left to go and pitch a tent in the rain & blow up a mattress now mind you in the dark. We were told they could not rent the rooms downstairs because of renovations currently being done. The upstairs room had paint odors all through it. Glass on pictures over beds were dirty, bathroom was rough, curtains were hanging were as old as the stained carpets, entire room was dingy with rough furniture. It was a non smoking room but those who were there renting rooms to renovate were smoking on landings, directly in front of their rooms. This is not a comfortable place for lodging at all for the price. They charge $65.00 a night and we work hard for our money. On their behalf they offered to show us a room at the end but this place is so rough there is no way it could be an improvement or step up. The front desk clerk was courteous but we were told that our money could not be refunded without management approval until Monday. We are headed home now. We can only hope we see our refund anytime soon.
