Everyone was very friendly, rooms were nice and clean as they should be. The breakfast every morning was good, wish there was a little more variety.
This is a clean motel on the out skirts of Boonville. The owners are on site and staff is accommodating and friendly. There is a full breakfast. There is a shuttle that takes guests to the casino. One side faces the interstate highway; the opposite side is better for sleeping if interstate road noise is an issue for you.
Very nice hotel and staff is very nice. Very clean rooms, good breakfast.
Pros: Clean & smells welcoming, well lit, firm beds, roomy bathrooms, typical amenities, super duper nice staff, and very much worth with the price!
Cons: all I can nit pick is rooms could use better sound insulation.
All-n-all 5 stars! Comparing with other places I've stayed at, this is definitely one of the very best! Keep up the good work!
We stayed in Boonville while attending a college football game in Columbia. The prices are elevated for football weekends in the entire area, but the Holiday Inn Express was the best price available. The rooms were clean and modern. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the continental breakfast and the food was excellent in comparison to other continental breakfasts I've had.
We are staying there right now.
The room is so musty we couldn't sleep. My son had an asthma attack, my 9 month old daughter started to choke/sneeze when she was crawling on the floor and I got so sick with sinus allergies, no medicine is helping. The room stinks, plain and simple. There is some evidence of mold/mildew on the ceiling of the bathroom. It's always been a decent hotel - but now it's going downhill. Upkeep is awful. It seems to be franchised out. In my opinion holiday inn express won't own it for much longer. I can't imagine they'd want to lend a name to poor quality.
The lobby has been updated - but not the rooms. At this rate I'm simply paid about $600 to get sick. So aggravated.
ETA:: before we checked out after 3 days we discovered
Only 1 TV worked - and not well. Shower broke and worm/bug things were in the bathroom on the floor.
Advertise $95, charged $216 (cause of eclipse), can't help where your bike broke down. We feel we were gouged.
Tub is very slick, (we're 60), toilet seat was broke offwhew.lets stop there.
But when we tried to book night 2, they wanted to raise the price AGAIN(eclipse).
Seriously,.
Nice convenient place in between two large cities to stop for the night. Walking distance to a Russel Stover's and a few other places. Gas station real close that is usually cheap compared to others
We had a Great night sleep! Wow and their breakfast is like a restaurant.
We will definitely stay at ANY location.
The room at this Holiday Inn Express needed some work. There were lights that didn't work and switches that controlled lights in the wrong part of the room. The lobby was nice and breakfast was as expected.
Clean room. Enjoyed the pool and breakfast. The downside: Some bugs appeared and bed smelled faintly like cigarette smoke. Not much you can do about that so overall pretty good.
A big thank you to Melissa at the Holiday Inn Express. We stayed Saturday night at this hotel. We were part of the pedaler's jamboree group that got caught in the thunderstorm earlier in the day, so when we arrived at the hotel, we were dripping wet and our bikes were muddy. Melissa got towels for us to dry off and was so patient and accommodating! She definitely went above and beyond!!!! Thanks!
Great hotel, I'd say one of the best HI Express I've stayed in. Very clean, in excellent condition and the staff really went above and beyond to make my stay comfortable.
Such a nice place. We had already commented, after we checked out, on the friendly staff, our room, and our nice breakfast. But about 2-3 hours after we checked out, we got a call from (I'm assuming) the manager telling me that they had found my IPad when cleaning our room. Probably the sweet female staff that was so kind to compliment me this morning in the hallway as we were leaving. This was our last night on our 2 week vacation across the country and we have been so careful to make sure we checked and double checked our rooms each morning, as we stayed someplace different each night. Until THIS morning apparently. There are still honest people in this crazy world we live in, and I'm thankful for this reminder of that. Thank you
Room was nice and the staff was friendly. However we were there at the same time as several kids softball teams so it was loud late into the night.
Checked in at 4 am in the morning and slept in til noon then hit the road again was very friendly at check in even though it was in the middle of night/early hours of morning bed slept well and easy checkout ..
Awesome place to stay. Sal greeted us when we arrived. He was friendly and even lowered the price from the advertised price on Expedia since they were not busy. The hotel was clean and updated. The breakfast in the morning was excellent for hotel breakfast. Angel the front desk worker was extremely friendly. She even talked with us at breakfast making us feel welcomed. The place is located right off the exit and safe. After reading lots of reviews of hotels near Kansas City we were glad we passed them up and went further east to Boonville. Very safe location and hotel room clean/comfortable.
