Beautiful hotel and very friendly staff. Modern and luxurious. The rooms are quiet and comfortable.. Very clean and well appointed. This property is a great example of what the Hilton brand represents. The location is perfect, right downtown and close to everything.
Recently remodeled and absolutely stunning hotel! Could not ask for a better location. Within walking distance of EVERYTHING you could want! The convention center is basically across the street. North market is right around the corner. There is a tiny cafe that sells amazing chocolates around the corner as well. Just down the road is the Guild House, Marcellas, and the Pearl. All amazing places to eat that are highly recommended!
I’ve previously hated staying at the Hilton because of bad experiences, but I recently stayed at the Hilton in downtown Columbus and it was terrific!! The lobby was beautiful, the staff was very friendly, the room was clean. The bathroom was gorgeous, with a huge walk-in shower. I would definitely stay at this hotel again. The price was a little steep, but definitely worth it for how nice the place was.
I attended a one-day conference recently at the Hilton Columbus Downtown.
Most of our conference had been in a large dining room in the basement of that hotel; there had been exhibitors in the hallway outside of that dining room; two of our sessions had been "breakout sessions" in nearby rooms [most of which had been up a tall flight of stairs].
The food that had been served during our luncheon has been absolutely delicious and had been brought to our tables by a well-dressed "wait staff" that had perfectly followed all of the etiquette rules [including placing two pieces of identical silverware -- one set of silverware for the salad; one set of silverware for the meal -- on three of the four edges of our plates].
One of the people at my table during our luncheon had commented, in response to the exquisite table service, "This is like 'being in New York'."
Possibly the best hotel experience we've ever had! Exceptionally clean, staff friendly and helpful and rooms were spotless! Cherokee was our housekeeper during our stay and she was a bundle of happiness! Made us very comfortable to be away from home! Thank you!!
Started at hotel for a wedding. Nice clean rooms and friendly staff. Reception was in one of their ball rooms which was very nice. Just a little pricey.
The staff are very friendly and work to at least give you a perk if something went wrong. The beds are very comfortable and the rooms and facilities are beautiful. There is so much nice artwork.
Staff has been very accommodating. The housekeeping service has been very delayed however. Rooms are nice. Breakfast is not included with the room, but if you have executive lounge access you can get a small continental breakfast.
My room was clean and exactly as I expected. However, the staff was quite impersonal and were mostly no where to be found. Other than at check in, I was never addressed by the staff unless I deliberately sought them out. (Not even a passing greeting.)
I was attending a conference at the hotel next door and was far more warmly greeted by the staff there. Even those I sought out at the Hilton were rather indifferent in assisting me. (I was asking for directions to get to the convention center and where to find dinner where it would be ok to eat alone - not complaining about service or hotel issues). Given the interactions I witnessed with other guests, I do question whether my treatment was largely due to my casual dress. Those dressed in business attire were certainly far more kindly received.
I did appreciate the digital key features and the entire place was clean and well decorated. But for the price I certainly expected better service and next time I stay in Columbus I'll be looking elsewhere.
A very beautiful and clean hotel. The rooms were the nicest I have seen in a hotel. Clean and the interior design of the entire place was simply beautiful! Helpful and friendly staff. excellent service. valet parking. Located within walking distance of the convention center in Columbus. Has a high class atmosphere. This hotel is among the best I have ever stayed in. Would definitely recommend.
The staff at the front desk were helpful and friendly. The food in the restaurant was very good. This is a great place to stay if you have an event in the convention center, as it is a convenient short walk across the bridge.
Rooms were nice. Had an issue with valet one day forgetting about my car. Other than that a nice stay. Didn't visit the restaurant.
I stayed at the Hilton Columbus Downtown while in town for a professional seminar. I found the location of the hotel excellent as it was walking distance from the countless restaurants and bars in the Short North District of the city. As far as the accommodations go I have no complaints. The room was sufficiently sized and everything was clean. The staff were helpful and friendly. I would stay at this hotel again in future trips to Columbus.
Great location close to North Market and other shopping and dining. Beautiful rooms and common areas. Exceptional DirectTV service including a responsive remote and many channels all in the correct aspect ratio. Online check in with electronic key recommended to avoid congestion at the front desk but if you self park you'll still have to get a key card to go in and out of the garage.
This is a great Hotel. It can be a little pricey, but you should expect that from a very nice, downtown hotel. Rooms are well maintained, decor is modern, the valet is quick, and the self parking is not far either. Restaurant is good, at least at breakfast. I haven't eaten lunch or dinner there. Service is terrific. If you need anything, just tell the front desk. They will take care of you. Pricing runs somewhere between $150 and $250 per night, depending on which room you choose and if you are receiving some kind of event or corporate discount.
