Great place to camp not to far from a town but far enough

Minimal kids amenities, if you dont have a golf cart you'll be walking because of the hilltop sites.
Owners are very nice, seasonal tenants are welcoming, site sizes are generous. Nice place just not for grandkidsresponse / report this review -

I have owned my own camper and camped MI for over 10 years. This was the worst campground I have ever experienced. The owners spread drama filled lies about me to other campers. Fortunately they were my family. Telling them I gave my key card out to people. When I explained the situation to them and asked for an apology the owner rolled her eyes and said I don't care. Camping is suppose to be relaxing. Don't waste your money go to Metamora Hadley less than 5 min away.

Very nice Quite getaway, Owners were kind & Courteous , Gate card reader Should be Raised so you don't have to get out of your Truck Every time to Open Entrance Gate. Most enjoyable camping trip this year, Thanks for Everything 🤗

My brother and I enjoyed camping here because it was a nice, quiet campground. We used some of the playground equipment and visited the small beach where we could actually see panfish in the water. The convenience store was good and the restrooms, showers, and the laundry were spotless. Very comfortable and fun, so we want to go back again in the future.

Hilltop Campground was always my favorite place to camp me n my dad spent a decade camping n 5th wheels, campers n allowed tents no tents allowed no more which I don't understand why call it a campground n the owners r fabulous n actually saved our family when our boat battery died ty very much (LES)but don't understand why all the rules changed n upset that u can pull ur boat up to thier store n spend 60 bucks but can't use the bathroom I wish I could go back camping there again cuz I would n a heart beat, very clean n well kept up. HOPEFULLY THEY WILL GO BACK TO ALLOWING ALL CAMPERS (WITH TENTS) my children would be able to enjoy what I did, great fishing, nice private beach, respectful place,very clean bathrooms n showers, I will keep checking to see if they will allow tents again not all of us that r great ppl can afford a camper, motorhome, or 5th wheel.

I have been a seasonal camper at Hilltop for three years and will continue to camp here. Les and Lisa are some of the best people you will ever meet. They treat my kids like family, the staff here is great to and for the money you can't go wrong. I feel so fortunate to have found this place, from the fishing, the seasonal people, the peace and tranquility that I have when I'm here, it's great. I have read a lot of terrible reviews about this place and I couldn't agree with any of them. Come here and find out for yourself.
