A new roof is a major investment for your house. It can be very stressful. Highland Roofing was very professional throughout the entire process. Dennis Thomas is as knowledgeable and helpful as there is. His answers to my questions via email were always answered by the next day. He took the time to bring samples and install on my roof so I could see them in all lighting situations. As the process moved forward he gave me addresses of houses that had the shingles installed that I was considering. They take their time and do it right; right down to putting the nails in by hand. The workers were courteous. They filled me in throughout the process. Inspectors came twice during the installation. The process was practically stress-free; would use them again in a heartbeat.

An ice storm damaged our roof. Water was pouring onto our newly refinished hardwood floor. A cry for help (actually a text to Jim Ramser, Highland's owner) got an immediate response even though Jim was out of town on vacation. He had a crew out in just over an hour. Cutting through two inches of ice, temporary repairs were made. The next day, Valentine's Day Sunday, they returned and removed even more ice and finished sealing the leak. The seal has held through several major storms but Jim said because of the amount of damage, we should replace the roof. We had him do it. His crew spent several days here (large roof) and were neat, professional and accommodating in every way. We even had them add three inches of insulating foam to our roof. We highly recommend Jim and Highland Roofing.

Our roof at Flue De Lis Condominiums was damaged by hail and our insurance company used Highland to replace the entire 40,300 sq. ft. They did an excellent job keeping us informed so we could keep the residence update on what the areas they were working on. All the employees we dealt with were professional and friendly. I would recommend them highly to anyone or Home Association looking to have roof work done.

So impressed with Highland Roofing! We were in desperate need of a roof repair as water was leaking into our home. Brock and his associates were incredibly professional and knowledgable. We made the mistake of going with another chain roofing company first that was not able to fix the leak. The Highland crew did it in a few hours! These guys are great - thanks again Highland!

Highland Roofing recently installed a gorgeous new roof, relined box gutters, and reconstructed ornate wooden dentil work on our 120 year-old Highlands home. Their work was reasonably priced, and the follow-up has been outstanding. When--after the installation--we noticed areas where water was still over-flowing the gutters, Highland Roofing immediately enlarged a copper overflow station and added copper flashing and more downspouts at no additional charge. They're now helping us trouble-shoot problems with four chimneys, again at no additional charge.. Highland Roofing gets an A+.

Highland roofing was very professional, good at communicating, and thorough with installing a roof on an old home and garage that I had just purchased. Pricing was very fair for one of the top rated roofing companies in Louisville and they went beyond expectations on working the job into their schedule on short notice. My realtor was very impressed.

I called them to see if they could come assess a roof leak and quote a fix. Took them a little while to respond, but they did; couple fellows came and climbed around on the roof, discussed the issues; pleasant, seemed to know what they were doing. Called me back later with a quote for skylight replacement. I asked them what skylight they intended to put in, they gave me a make/model. I looked it up, it sells at Lowes, for $179 - I'd expected a $300-500 skylight, and thought the rock-bottom priced product on the market would be too low quality, but they said it was good and recommended it. They would replace two skylights and perform an array of miscellaneous repairs they'd recommended as well, which added $ to the quote. I asked them to please send me a punch-list of the misc. repairs that would be included, and to tell me when they could come and do the work. They said they'd send me the punch-list and call back to schedule the repair. I never heard from them again. Very strange, but that's what happened. I moved on.

Untrustworthy--very disappointing experience with this company. I brought them in for an evaluation of an older tile roof in connection with a home inspection of a home I was buying, and they gave the roof a clean bill of health. When I started having problems shortly after moving into the house, however, they completely changed their story and said the roof couldn't even be repaired but would need to be replaced entirely.
