  Our family had the BEST time on the river with Jason. He was incredibly patient with our 9 and 13 year old. He took the time to explain how things worked and got us to a great fishing spot. Everyone caught a fish, and despite some heavy rain ( which Jason navigated with ease) everyone ended the trip with smiles. If you are looking for a fun day on the river for your family we highly recommend Jason. He even took pictures to ensure we have these memories forever.

  Finally getting around to writing about the incredible trip I had with Jason a little while back on the South Holston. In case there was ever any doubt, THIS DUDE KNOWS HOW TO FISH! Not only did Jason put me and my buddy on roughly 50 quality fish, he was super helpful instructing us on how to best read the water and where to find fish right up to the boat ramp. Not only this, but we even had the opportunity to throw streamers with the possibility of hooking into some monster fish. This was an amazing part of the trip in my opinion because I have not done much streamer fishing for trout in the past, and Jason was really helpful in coaching me through how to work the streamer until I started picking up fish. Overall, we had a truly fantastic experience bringing more fish to the boat than any other trip I've taken and just having a great time laughing our way down the river. Unlike some other trips I've been on in the past, there was never an awkward or uncomfortable moment in the boat with Jason. He's exceptional at what he does and he really enjoys doing it, which made the trip feel like just another day on the water with friends. Tight lines!

  My husband and I had the opportunity to fish with Jason and had the most amazing day! We landed 29 fish for the day. Jason took us on the South Holston even though it required him to get out of the boat multiple times to navigate rocks. What a guide! He was very patient and made sure we were always fishing even if one of us had our line in a tangle. Lunch was outstanding! We would highly recommend him and can't wait to book another trip. We even saw a bald eagle!

  After having fished with many fly fishing guides, Jason was amazing and the best of the best! Had a wonderful experience on the boat, and Jason really gets after them and puts the work in for his anglers. My friend and I boated 50 fish on the South Holsten in a full day trip, and the action was non-stop! Thanks again to Jason for the positive mental attitude and a day full of fish! Tight lines!

  My husband and I recently had the opportunity to have Jason take us on a guided trip down the South Holston. Jason is not only very knowledgeable, he is personable, funny and most of all patient since my husband and I are both novices at fly fishing! We caught fish, learned a great deal and more importantly had an overall great experience! We feel like we made a lifelong friend!
