Best place ever. Perfect location and staff, especially for a Hide-A-Way weekend

We stayed in the beginning of October and it was EXACTLY what we wanted! Clean , cozy and , charming. Only a 7 minute drive to downtown lake George but far enough away to be secluded. It was absolutely wonderful. Owners are fantastic, cabin was great and the scenery was unbeatable. Wi-Fi is very spotty..but it gave us more the reason to unplug and relax. Each cabin has it's own fire pit and there was plenty for us to do..tennis, volleyball, hiking, canoes. We would highly recommend! If we ever get back to lake George..this is our place!

I stayed here for a night at the start of fall. The location is unmatched. Our cottage was on the lake that made it really nice. It's was quite and calm stay away form the regular hustel and bustel. The cottage was nice and clean. The bed and floor were squeaky , not sure how other cottages were. Overall a place to stay for couple of days. Don't forget to bring all your towel and toiletries 😀

Quiet and Rustic cabin near lake. Nice and hospitable People. Location very near to Lake George. Best place for vacation. Only thing can be improved is cleanliness of rooms and electric points which were loose.

Rustic place off the main road. It's basic which is what we were looking for. Bring your own bath towels, shampoo and hair dryer. Very happy they had boats to use.

Quaint rustic cabin on the lake. The owner Peter is wonderful and helpful. Will definitely come back for the "woodsy " experience. There are spiderwebs in the corners which are expected in the woods but take a broom to them and all is well. Bed super comfy. 6 yr old likes the play scape and board games.

What a great experience for our family! Peter was most accommodating and had availability at moments notice. We called on Saturday and he was able to have a nice cabin ready by Monday. Superb fishing on the lake was an added bonus! I would highly recommend Hide A Way if you are looking for a relaxing getaway.

Absolutely loved this place so peaceful super clean and the owners are great. Cabin had a binder with listings on everything local from food to drs to zip lines .

It was amazing! You have lake front acsess and great docks for fishing. There is a neighborhood playground and volyball net. You are within walking distance of Benett's horseback riding and I can tell you that the ride was awesome. You are close to eateries, mini golf, go carting, arcades, and six flags, a water park. This was an amazing experience and I will try to come every summer.

Really, I rate this 2 stars because me and my family went on vacation here as mane a nice rustic cabin. BUT when it got time to be the first night watching our dinosaur tv, me and my mom looking at the floor and see a rat . My mom screams and jumps on the couch. The owner came in on the next day and did a half an a** job with the traps, he looked at us like it was our fault and mumbled something on the way out. All the rat stuff out of the way and the cabin had free boating which was fun. Me and my dad went fishing and stuff like that there wasn't really that much to do but still it was alright.
