This is a must go to place. Our family has visited this place in the fall yearly for generations. So many interesting gifts, foods, and things to do for the kids, as well as holiday decorations. The workers are always pleasant and helpful. Don't miss out!

Love this place! Everyone is friendly, fun to walk around while drinking hot apple cider and look around. They have so much to choose from! Caramel apples, cider, produce, apples, pumpkins, jams and so much more. Everything I've tried is delicious and grown there. Definitely worth a visit!

First visit here, we usually go to Young' s and Fulton's, but decided to check this out. Compared to those 2 places it is more expensive. The hayride was neat to see the different areas of the farm, as they explained the history and what they were growing. I would not pay for a pumpkin on the hayride, they were small, already picked and in a pile. We felt we get a much better deal at Fultons and Youngs.

Best cider around! Unpasteurized really is MUCH better. The caramel apples and the variety of apples is also awesome.

They amenities are fun but overpriced. We went to get apples for our yearly canning of apple sauce. Selection was slim, and was directed toward a new variety that we have not tried before. Upon making the sauce the apples were riddled with insect bites and a third were rotten under the skin. When I called to seek amends I was turned down flat and treated rudely. Last time I pay a visit there and I advise others not to try. The area has other options for the same experience.

Went to their Apple Festival this past weekend with family including our grandson. It seems like they were trying to make their annual revenue in one weekend as everything was ridiculously overpriced. We paid $1.50 for what was a tiny almost sample sized cup of apple cider and $9.00 for a small sandwich with a spoonful of potato salad and a small ear of corn. All the actual activities like, the petting zoo, were at an extra cost and a bag of apples was $29.00!!!!!. The people and atmosphere were friendly but we won't be back. A better option would be to go to the Country Apple Fest in Lebanon at the end of the month instead.

Friends and I attended the strawberry festival on 6/3/2017paid much too much for strawberries, and have had to throw at least half of them away. So look closely when you buy their fruit.

Today was the second time I have called ahead here, told that fruit was available to pick, gotten my children excited to go and drove all the way out there to be told that U-Pick was no longer available. We happened to be waiting behind a mother and son who had driven all the way from Kentucky and were told the same thing. The mother said she had called ahead and driven an hour for strawberry picking so they decided to let her and her son go ahead and try picking. Imagine having to explain that situation to your kid after he/she sees the people in front of you get to go and he/she is not allowed. An exception was not made for us, but we got to watch the people in front of us get special treatment. TERRIBLE customer service- the absolute worst. There was no one behind us so it was just us that got rejected. Similarly, last year I took my children apple picking. We got there, they let us back into the field and we literally found one decent apple out of all the trees. I have no idea why they let us pay and walk back there when there were clearly no apples. They didn't refund my money either. It was terrible.
To the management/owners: I am a firm believer in supporting local businesses, but Hidden Valley is a sheer disappointment. I had a bad experience with the apple picking, but wanted to give it another chance only to have a similar experience. Your customers deserve better than to come all the way out there with their children only to be let down. You need to stay informed of where your fields are at so that you can relay it to your customers at all times of the day, no matter when they call.
Also, as many have commented, your prices are unreasonably high for sure. There has to be some appeal to keep people coming back, but I personally am not seeing it. I ended up spending over $60 for lunch (for my two kids, not including myself), ice cream (again, not including myself) (before I inquired about picking berries) and strawberries that clearly tasted like they weren't from the fields (because I promised my kids berries) from the store. Note that the money I spent did not include any type of entertainment for my kids. I decided to leave instead of spending more money because I was so frustrated about the U-Pick situation happening again and in the way that it did.
I would also beware of the age restrictions implemented for little kids. I have read several reviews that talked about this, which sparked my memory that it happened to me also when my kid was 4- I had completely forgotten about that. I ended up going to Irons Fruit Farm- which is where I will be going from now on. To call yourself a family-friendly farm and put age restrictions on fruit picking is nuts. Families generally go fruit picking because it is a fun family activity. If you are going to enforce age restrictions, fine- if that is what you feel needs to happen I guess. BUT, you should be making that abundantly clear to all customers and explain why instead of surprising families with that when they drive out there with their little kids- who tend to get the most excited and take rejection the hardest.
I have to say, after reading the other comments made by customers and the responses by management, I am completely appalled by some of the experiences people have had. I don't know how anyone could justify or defend behavior displayed by the owner/management. I wish I had read them before I went today- I haven't been in a very long time and definitely wouldn't have gone. I chose to go because it was the closest drive, but that is no longer an influential factor. I am most definitely done.response / report this review -

Great all the time !!!!
Just read the negative comments. They probably don't know that the manager of 37 years dropped dead last June. She had been there since age 16 and loved what she did. The owner stepped.up his 30 hour week to 90 hours to maintain the long-time tradition of good food and clean family entertainment. This.renaissance man is 73 and in constant pain from polio as a child. My grandfather had polo, so I understand and help all I can, including recruiting employees AND potential NEW OWNERS, so the tradition can continue. So VERY dissapointing!!!! I called before I came 37 plus miles. I was wanting strawberries and they had a sign out that said fresh strawberries. I was told that yes they did have them. I stated "wow, it's pretty early, huh!" She responded that it was and that they too were surprised by them but that they sure enough did have them in already. Now mind you, I meant field ripe berries, and even said that. I said OK tandem decided to go ahead and make the trip. I got there and I was just so excited, I guess, that I simply did not pay good attention. I had a thought that they sure didn't look like fresh field berries and were awful big to be them as well. But instead of listening to my inner voice, I picked a quart up and asked the gentleman about u pick and he said Monday or Tuesday. This quart was 4.99. I paid and left. A few miles down the road I ate one and I don't believe I have ever been more dissapointed by a food purchase. It was sour and I could tell immediately that these were just grocery store berries. I would have went back but had to get my son's car back to him quick for work. Next morning I went to kroger and they had quarts of them for .99 cents each. I tasted one and it was sweet and far better than what I drove so far for and had spent 5 times more for. All I wanted was some fresh strawberries which to me means straight from the field, ripened, deliciousHappy Mother's day to me, huh.Although partly my own fault because I should have inspected them better for sure, but also theirs as it was VERY misleading of them.
