The day of my scheduled pick-up, I had to change the pick-up time due to a flight delay. Colin, the Branch Manager, was courteous on the phone and said it would be no problem. When we arrived via a ride-share from the airport at the new time, there was not a car available. I was kind of jerk about it, but Colin was very professional and offered to get us a ride to restaurant to eat lunch while he got us a car. He kept our luggage in the office and by the time we got back from eating, we were ready to go. Colin turned what could have been a negative experience into a good one. I would recommend this location to anyone needing a rental in the Santa Fe area.

I live just 15 minutes away and normally rent from this location. Be aware that it is a resort, not an actual Hertz location. As noted on their site, you can only pick up your car from Monday-Friday during normal business hours, and you also must make your reservation ahead of time online. But, keeping these things in mind, I have never experienced any problems. Their concierge is friendly and generally has gotten me in my car quickly (do leave extra time on a Friday afternoon or a holiday), and drop-off has always been easy. If you need extended hours or a last-minute reservation, Hertz has locations in Santa Fe, most notably at the airport, and I've never had any problems renting from there, either.

The Cerrillos (College Plaza) office is staffed by a great group of employees, who make the experience as good as possible. You can use mall parking if you are exchanging a car too. Consider the advance purchase option, as this location can be short on cars close to rental time.

Amelia at the Cerrillos office is friendly and helpful. I received a call the day after I checked out a car from another staff person who just wanted to know how my car was working out for me. I use rental cars about 1-3 times a month and Hertz are always clean and nice.
