I'm becoming a regular visitor to Baltimore due to business. The staff at this location are always efficient, professional and very friendly. They've remembered me since my 2nd visit and make the rental process a stress free, happy experience. Nice cars with low mileage and satellite radio. Never have had an issue.
Have always had great experiences with Hertz at this airport. Cost has always been very competitive, and vehicles have always been nice. Lines are a bit long sometimes because it usually busy. The kiosks help push things a long faster now. Staff is always friendly and helpful.
Worst car rental experience I have ever had. My connecting flight to Pittsburgh canceled so I asked to have my reservation transferred to BWI where I was stranded. Got to the front of the line and was told that I would need to call the 800 number. In total spoke with 5 people at the desk and 2 representatives and a supervisor in India to finally get the transfer accomplished. Then the manager (who had seen my original reservation in writing and agreed to honor it) decides the price I reserved at was too low and he won't honor it. He charges me double and downgrades the vehicle. Total time wasted: 3 hours.
Hertz has their act together big time. The interactive kiosks help keep the lines busy and the ability to get a text and walk straight to your car is really fantastic. The car however It was ok, a Ford Fusion. The problem was that the key limited the car's speed to 80mph. I'm sorry but in greater DC traffic that's not acceptable and arguably unsafe. I know it sounds counter-intuitive to suggest that it's unsafe to limit the car to a speed that's still above the highest posted limits in the area, but this is where the clash between some corporate liability lawyer's fantasy and reality result in real problems for actual people living in the real world. I'm happy with Hertz overall and I'd love to keep using them but if this is their policy now then I'll just use someone else. I'm a safe driver and I haven't had any tickets in over a decade but that's because I obey the one rule of the road that transcends all the others: Go with the flow.
Great experience Hertz did a great job. The counter lady was professional and helpful. The car was clean and in good shape and the GPS worked fine. At check-in Les arranged for us to be driven back back to the terminal in our car. The only complaint I have is that the cars are very far from the bus terminal and it is difficult to carry a lot of luggage that long-distance.
