To be honest I have received better care at the Heartland than anywhere else, good enough that I had a very hard time re acclimating to life on the 'outside' The drug and behavorial therapy were phenomenal. The food wasn't too hot but i was so jacked on pills i didn't even care, the staff were a bit surly but all in all i have received better treatment there than anywhere else i've beenand that's has been quite a few.

More like a jail. Neglectful
NO therapy. Just want to push medications without even knowing your story/history. If you were not depressed prior to admission, you will be. Social workers are very rude and spend no time with you. They will keep you forever as they get money from the state. Don't send anyone here.response / report this review -

Well I have to agree with the negative feedback from the other reviewer Jay. Such a horrible place to be in more like a jail then a hospital to treat mental health conditions. I wasn't there but a lil birdy was that I'm very close to and hatted it not getting there clothes, phone calls, and not.getting their stuff that was brought to them. Then the snacks that would be brought in would be stollen. They didn't care to answer questions and concerns about their situation. Making false accusations of other people that arnt even in there at should be.in meds with I feel is very illegal when the persons they are taking about arnt even patient s there. What a joke! Tear down that dump like they did the old one and build another project.

This place is the worst place in the world to send a patient that needs help with mental/psychiatric problems. I was there between Christmas and New Years of 2012. The afternoon staff in my pod was the absolute worst "hospital" staff I have ever dealt with. Olivia shouldn't be employed by this place. The treatment that they supposedly provided was worthless, didn't help one bit. They held me longer than they were legally allowed to, telling me everyday that there was a doctor on his way to see and release me. That never happened, I had to get my "Patient Rights" pamphlet to explain to them that they were holding me longer than allowed and threaten to walk out, even if it did involve the police. I am currently contacting the State of Ohio to start an investigation on the practices, beliefs and treatment of the patients in this facility. Understanding behavioral health is something they will never comprehend. Unfortunately.
