Most everything is wonderful at Healthy Living, can find many foods ( they were the first to carry Halo Top). Great place for lunch, coffee is great. I'm laying off the sweets, but they are delicious and very tempting with a nice cup of coffee. I use their bulk spices all the time, small amounts and replace often, rather than large quantities that loose their potency. Some things are a bit pricey, but only place to purchase certain items. Baby care supplies, and many other items including gorgeous flowers. Love this place!!💜💜
Pretty standard health food store. It's expensive but there does seem to be a wide selection. Definitely a decent beer and wine selection. I usually don't shop here other than to grab lunch from the hot food bar, which is pretty good.
Great products. If you comparison shop, prices can be amazing! Customer service can be hit or miss. Would be 5 stars except for customer service.
Healthy Living is a bit of an organic experience. Lots of beautiful food, options for all kinds of diets, curving, non-symmetrical aisles. It is easy to get lost in there, but there's a map at the customer service desk. It is pricey, which is why I didn't give it 5 stars. But they carry many local products, and give a great discount on supplements on Thursdays. Lots of fun when you have the time and the money!
Love this store! For years my friends and I shopped it when it was over in its old location - but this new location is wonderfully big and offers great, easy parking. Once you know the store - I find it well laid out - and if you don't know where something might be - ask the friendly staff!!! They have a great produce section - local Vermont products, a huge vitamin section - cheeses, wines, beers, hard cider, and a vast selection of yogurts and fermented foods and drinks with HUGE selection of many brands of Kombucha. They also have a number of made there foods in their cooler for meals at home or to take out for lunch. My favorite is the hot and cold deli - you can buy in bulk taking home many veggies and gourmet natural and vegetarian meals - - We cook most of our food at home but its so nice to have these meals as sides or for a night off from cooking. Great place!
Great shopping , wonderful food and Great service . I find it a bit expensive . Although you certainly
get great items and service .
A nice all-around health food store. Not as versatile for overall shopping in some ways is City Market, but a better place to find unique health foods and a large variety of them.
Like a boutique Whole Foods, with better choices and easier to navigate. Great breakfast bar. Can't wait to go back!
Awesome hot food bar and salad bar. They also have fresh, refrigerator meals made in house. A wide vegetarian/vegan selection, both from the hot food to the food on the shelves. Fresh food prep stations throughout the store. I just wish they did breakfast all day!
A uniquely Vermont experience! This is a Whole Foods-like local grocery that also serves some prepared food inside. I come here primarily to use the Tesla Supercharger outside (which they sponsor), but once you're inside you find lots of interesting products to explore and usually I realize I'm hungry for a sandwich or some sort of snack food.
Great selection. Was looking for vegan items and was not disappointed. A little pricey though. Later told by a friend "that is why it is.called ""wealthy living"".
Great natural and organic market. Large selection of bulk spices, grains, pastas, nuts, oil, coffees and teas. nice selection of wines and beers. Wonderful Café.
Definitely my favorite health food store! The employees are always cheerful and helpful, the store is clean, the prepared food is AMAZING, and the selection is wonderful. Keep it up, Healthy Living!
To start, almost every item in the store is a dollar more than city market, a local competitor coop in Burlington. Additionally, the store is completely unwilling to use common sense in helping customers. For example, on only Thursday there is a vitamin discount, but you can not have reduction post sale or order on the phone in the event of an emergency. Another instance is in the area of their buffet, where it is extremely common that the pricing will be outrageous yet the food is overcooked, burnt, stale, or even hard as a rock. I practically broke my tooth on the rice there, had shell or bone in a vegetarian dish, and dried out vegetables that would make a person choke. This on top 7.00 organic strawberries and pints of blueberries that cost 5.99. As a for profit company it is obvious that making pricing fall in line with a small markup is beyond the companies priorities. Healthy Living could be a great store and has great staff but horrible and predatory policies.
I don't know where to begin.
The store layout makes no sense. It's a confusing, counter-angled mess which seems specifically designed to thwart easy shopping.
The prepared food is always the same—mostly variations on 'mush' and lacking in real protein. And forget about going there to eat before ten o'clock in the mornings. The kitchen is on some tropical time zone.
The pre-prepared deli sandwiches where recently reduced in size, with no reduction in price. (Didn't think anyone would notice that, didn't you?)
The in-store dining area is smack in the middle of the store—windowless, noisy and with constantly swirling cart traffic.
The prices largely verge on the comically insulting. I often feel they price items just to see how much they can sucker the customer out of—just for laughs.
The staff are helpful. The cashiers are fine people but often lack even rudimentary bagging logic.
My wife likes to shop there. I despise it. So we compromise and shop there anyway.
