Horrible, horrible, horrible.
Alicia has to be the worst appointment secretary ever.
I was referred to this unprofessional clinic by my MD. I was told that someone from Harbin GI was going to give me a call to set up an appointment. Well Alicia called a few days later to set up a date and tell me what I needed to know. I was told that my medicines were going to be forwarded to my pharmacy and that she was going to mail instructions for the procedure. I picked up my stuff at my pharmacy a few days later and was still waiting for the instructions. When I didn't receive anything I got a bit worried but assumed that if there were any critical instructions for me to know then I would've received a call by then or the instructions would have been delivered already. The day before the procedure Alicia called back at 12 PM and told me that I was to be on a liquid diet for the whole day. I couldn't believe that she had the nerve to call so late to tell me not to eat. It was NOON! I had already eaten breakfast and lunch. I told her that no instructions were mailed in to me so I did not know that I was to be on a liquid diet for the whole day. She the proceeded to yell at me and say, "You didn't that you're NOT supposed to eat food on a liquid diet?!" To which I replied "I didn't know I was to be on the liquid diet in the 1st place because you never mailed in instructions." She clearly sounded aggravated. She even said a few choice words under her breath. I could hear her but didn't say anything because unlike her, I'm educated. Maybe if she had done her job correctly then we both would't have been in that situation. She also tried to blame my pharmacy by saying that THEY were supposed to give me the instructions. I reminded her that SHE told me a week before that SHE was going to mail them in. She was very unprofessional and by being like that she gives Dr. Finn and Dr. Galysh bad names. I know that they both are great gastroenterologists because I have worked at the hospital before and know how they are, but Alicia, their appointment secretary makes them look bad. I won't be going back to see them because of her.
I moved to Rome and had to find new doctors and the scheduler who I talked to and made this appointment was rude and said I should stay with my old doctor which was 9 hours away. On the day of the procedure the receptionist was rude. I asked about using the restroom and she said "you have to wait you have to complete all of these forms first." after preparing for a colonoscopy you should never tell a patient to wait when nature calls. They need to change their receptionist because that is a horrible first impression. I wonder if I made a huge mistake choosing Harbin Clinic for my healthcare.
Horrible, horrible, horrible.
