I have stayed in motels all over the world and purposely chose Hampton because I have always liked them. Today I returned to my room after having been out all day only to find the door to my room open. Entering the room was scary. Though the room was partially cleaned there were still dirty cups and water in the ice bucket. A very bad experience and may never feel comfortable chosing Hampton in the future.
Great hotel right by the Bourbon Trail between Heaven Hill and Four Roses / Jim Beam. Great staff quite rooms.
A hotel I will remember to return. Just five mins to downtown Bardstown (well Bardstown is not big). Some restaurants in walking distance.
Hotel provides daily changing breakfast, indoor pool and fitness room.
Everyone was so friendly and nice, especially the staff at breakfast. They were really helpful when I was there by myself trying to feed two little kids. I highly recommend staying here. I don't remember anything special about the hotel itself, just fabulous hospitality. They made us feel right at home.
Happy at Hampton. Convenient and clean hotel in Bardstown. Friendly service and good breakfast. Nice, quality room.
Nice location, not too far from the interstate. Very clean rooms. We usually stay here since pets are free. Only negative is the beds. I understand firm, but these are like laying on a sheet of rock.
Good location for any event in Bardstown area. Off the main street a few buildings. Great view of field.
Overall the stay was okay. The location was convenient to my destination. The interior and furnishings are dated, but the room was clean and comfortable.
Very clean and nice. Super friendly staff that were very helpful with restaurant recommendations. Will be in town again for work and will stay there again. Clean updated rooms.
Rooms are clean. Beds are comfortable. Staff is friendly and accommodating. Food and drink available right across the street. I've stayed here before and will happily stay here again.
Location wasn't great (seemed like an older, maybe industrial area) so I was pleasantly surprised that the hotel was clean and newer looking, no different than most all Hampton Inn. It had a fine pool area. Work out room good for short stays. The staff was very professional and friendly. I would stay there again.
The front desk staff were very helpful. The room was clean and tidy. The pillows we're a bit too soft.
Beds were comfortable and room was clean. They had a nice pool and workout room, although the workout room was pretty small. It was close to the downtown area and that was nice. Right across the road there is a strip mall of local restaurants to explore. Beautiful lobby and good selection of complimentary breakfast. Overall it was a pleasant stay.
Stayed here last year, again last night. This is a no glitz place to sleep. It is clean and quiet. Staff is very helpful. The breakfast is better than most, it includes eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy, pancakes, and even waffles. Fresh fruit to go with the yogurt. Variety of pastries. I think even flavored or flavors for coffee (I don't drink coffee, so didn't pay much attention) They even have rice and miso soup for the Japanese businessmen. Parking is around the building and there are 5-8 key card controlled entrances. The sushi place right across the street is pretty good also. Bardstown itself has the closest hotels to bourbon trail giants like Jim Beam and Makers Mark, not to forget another 6-8 craft distilleries.
Check-in time is at 3pm and there isn't a lot of flexibility for earlier check-ins, especially if they're busy. To make it work for my schedule, I reserved the night before so I could have a room early in the morning when I arrived. They gave my room away anyway and were going to happily charge me just the same. When I arrived in the morning, I spent a couple hours waiting for them to call me while they were getting a different room ready. I ended up coming back without the phone call and found out from a different employee that a room was available. I guess we'll never know if they were ever going to call I was charged for one night and the room itself was decent. I was willing to pay for the extra night to avoid this exact situation, but I was able to salvage my itinerary even with the hassle, so whatever.
