Food was great as usual but service was horrible we were the only 2 people standing to be seated with plenty of empty tables. 2 female Hostesses/ waitresses walked past us continuing to serve others and did not say one word to my sister and I for about 5min. Finally we were seated and given ONE menu then 10mins later were asked what we wanted to drink. Got our drinks in a reasonable time but another 10min went by before our order was taken. Keep in mind no one apologized for the wait, did not ask if we wanted anything to start off with nothing. So we ordered our appetizer with our meal and the waitress seemed to cut me off and ask my sister what she was getting. Rude. During the 20 to 25min wait no one checked on us and barely seemed to want to refill my drink. We got our main course before the appetizer BTW. The waitress came out with it and said they were just sitting back there, keeping in mind I watched her and several other waitresses go back and forth to the kitchen the entire time. No tip. This is my hometown and expected better after coming from Montgomery. This was the worst experience I ever had at a restaurant. 2 stars were only for the food. Other than that no. Update: I was not feeling well after I ate there. My stomach was VERY upset.

Overall all pretty good. At first I was worried about ordering seafood and it not being fresh. It's definitely not same day fresh, but it is not frozen. The service can be kind of slow at times.

Good food.. But service was kind of dry Bar tender acted as if he was scared our skins would touch.. OMG I thought times changed in the south! I guess not here..

Love this place. The Rockefeller oysters are better than anything you could spend twice ad much for on the ocean. It does tend to get busy at odd times but it's worth the wait. Thanks half shell!

Locally established restaurant that has been here for decades. Their burgers are amazing as well as their chicken tenders/fingers

Great service, food and drinks. Very busy for a Friday night. But was sat very quickly, the place is really clean. Atmosphere is nice for a family even with a bar.

Good eats over at half shell. I've never ordered anything I didn't like. The Mahi sandwich has got to be my favorite. It's a very generous sized sandwich and comes on a sweet roll. Honestly the fish I've had at half shell was better then some I've had down near the Gulf. My only complaint was when they ran out of their special for the night. Alligator tacos! Sounds yummy but I was just too late. Shucks 😜
