Excellent food, service and atmosphere! Some of the best surf and turf you'll find and don't sleep on the appetizers!
Great place to have a birthday or anniversary dinner. The food is always consistently good. The atmosphere is upscale and there is live music. The only negative is that there is smoking by the bar on the lower level. But, other than that it’s a great place!
Had a great experience here for drinks after a show at the Peace Center. Excellent bar service from top to bottom - we loved it.
It was OK. Rib-eye steak was good. but it was poor service. server was not professional.. they even don't know how to set the Silverware on a table..and ..I can't hear anything.. it was hard to make a conversation restaurant was way to loud. with that price.. no thanksI think I will not visit againeven if steak was ok..
We have dined at Hal's on many occasions. We invited another couple to join us last night and was greatly disappointed with the service. Pathetically slow and non existent. I peed away $400.00 last night and am not happy. My cowboy rib eye was cooked perfectly but in spite of the Chef's best effort, the overall service was bad, thus spoiling my evening. Shame on you Hal's.
some of the best meals, atmosphere and fun times i've ever had. really enjoy going here.
5 stars because it's a great place. I'm a media buyer, The Braves & Falcons are my clients. I take my valued clients here. Never a bad meal. Top of the line classy service. We don't look at prices. Just sit back and enjoy this place. Always a great experience and the food was outstanding.
Call ahead for seating! We were seated promptly and our waitstaff was very good. Never a rush to finish your meal and push you out the door.
Before our dinner arrived they even had a magician that stopped by our table for several minutes. He was very good. Amazing card tricks and sleight of hand. Had to tip him on what he could do!
After a great meal for 3, with tip, not to bad, $500 bucks!
Love this place! My Client's love it!
I'm giving it 5 stars because I can't give it a 4.8. It was a pretty great experience and the food was outstanding, but it's a super high-end place and therefore I don't feel like it was absolutely perfect.
We were seated promptly and our waitstaff was very good. The only thing I would have to say even mildly derogatory was that there were a couple of times where we wished our waiter had maybe checked in with us (-.2). In their defense, I would say that this is the type of restaurant that you would probably linger in longer than your average steakhouse, so I'm just a little bit used to things happening a little bit quicker. They are in no rush to get you out the door though, so just enjoy your time here. One of us ordered a glass of wine and it turned out to not be what they were looking for, and the waitstaff staff replaced it with something more to their liking no questions asked.
Before our dinner arrived they even had a magician that stopped by our table for several minutes. He was very good. Amazing card tricks and sleight of hand.
Our steaks were all done just the way we asked for them. We ordered a couple of shareable sides. The creamed spinach and sauteed mushrooms we're both very good. We did get one small side of mashed potatoes, and it was average.
We were out the door for about $80 per person, plus tip. We went somewhere else for dessert just to make a bigger night out of it.
Hal's is the type of restaurant we only go to every couple of years. If you're loaded, by all means go a lot, you'll love it. If you've got a average income and want a treat, then I would definitely put this place on your list. I was full when I left, and even had that "steak-pop" for dinner the next night.
If you are looking for a true and authentic New York Steakhouse, this is it. It isn't cheap but it is worth every penny. Steaks and service might be best in Atlanta and that is saying something with the number of amazing restaurants in ATL these days.
Everything is perfect. From the girls running around, to polite servers
The food..OMG THE STEAKS!!!
The filet is the BEST
The creme brulee was delicious. I cannot say enough good things about this place I used to go to New York Prime but I stopped going. Something about their bartenders and the whole place just doesn't match Hal's
Sammy has this place running tip-top. He obviously runs a tight ship! Mike is the best assistant manager and waiter we have ever had, makes sure everything's Perfect every time we come in. It's nice to see Hal still come in and mingle. BEST steak in town. Chef Elton.has got it down to perfection!
Great service. Very prompt. Loved the food and environment. Celebrated my bridal shower here on March 11th. Will come back. Great prices!
Pretty different place. Second floor has a nice outside/windowed area that has a good view of part of the city. Inside reminds me of "old fashioned" private bar; or something. The food was great, but salty.
The steaks here are way too perfect. They use some sort of dark magic to make them this way. It's pretty obvious because the server's are way too over the top goodLike they have a psychic in the back directing them.
