Really neat park. Worth the drive if you like history, architecture or nature. If you like all 3, it is a can't miss opportunity.

A beautiful place to recharge your batteries and shake off the city for a bit. Bring the dogs. Don't forget a leash and waste bags.😁

Quiet, peaceful, absolutely beautiful, breath taking! Trails are wonderful, just make sure you wear the right shoes & bring drinks. Can be rocky and hilly in areas. Picnic areas, bathrooms and fishing ramps too. Affordable rental pavilions can be used daily. Wonderful place!!!

Great display of many wonderful natural features and man-made structures within a concentrated area. Castle ruins are accessible by a paved path. Other features require lots of stairs and hiking, but you can drive fairly close to most of them by planning your route with one of the park provided maps.

Beautiful park with plenty to see and a lot of options for hiking. There are nice paved trails to get to some of the attractions like the castle ruins and the natural spring and island. Staff at the visitor center was very helpful. Well worth a visit!

Very nice park with lots of hiking options. Must do the Spring trail on the South side of park. It has very difficult access the castle via a stairway but i recommend this if you are in decent shape. Best hike in a long time.

Great park with a variety of options for hiking, biking, etc. Make sure to wear good hiking shoes and leave nature as you found it! During my visit, I noted that several people thought it cool to stack rocks. It's not-
It destroys ecosystems for microorganisms and habitats for lizards and other small species.

This is a great place for a hike. The trails are marked and the area is taken care of. There are both man made and natural sites to take in. I have been taking my kids here since they were toddlers but I would recommend an all-terrain stroller or being prepared to carry them. Parts of the trails ascend or descend over 300 steps at a time. There are routes that you can use to avoid them and see most of the park if steps are not your thing.

Overall you can spend a few hours here adventuring around. Hiking, site seeing, bird watching, trail running; are just a few of the activities you can enjoy here. Plus the park connects to the Lake of the Ozarks just south of Camdenton, Mo where you can see the natural spring water flowing into the lake.

Beautiful park! Has very nice trails, just make sure you have good hiking footwear! Also has good access to fishing from the bank. Plenty of parking and it is generally close to trail entrances. Also has castle ruins and natural spring that I didn't have time to visit but will add pics as I do. Would highly recommend this park!

One of my favorite State Parks I have ever been too. The castle at the top is awesome. There are too ways up, the easy way and the hard way. The hard has 312 stairs, and should be in good shape. Otherwise you can drive up.

Lovely park. Took our young school kids up the stairs. They ran all the way up! Some walks w/c access. Primitive restrooms at parking area. Beautiful park. Castle ruins!!

It was beautiful. The castle there was awesome. The walk up to castle was paved and it wasn't a bad walk and if you have difficulties walking, there is benches. The park also has a natural rock bridge which is can be difficult for someone who has knee problems because some of it has natural steps while the rest you are walking on the rocks. The springs are about a mile and the trail is paved, when you walk to the end, the trail Becomes wooden and you have to squeeze between two rocks. It was a good hike for a couch potato.

Hiking for all ability and energy levels! Historic castle (mansion) ruins with amazing views!! A good trail takes you down to the spring which is worth a visit. We've been here countless times and will certainly be back!
