Great store and employees. Nice deli, fresh produce, and the few times I have been here, the employees were happy to help, very friendly and polite.

So I’m giving them a 2 because while the floral department was a 4.5 I would have given the bakery a bit fat negative rating if I could. I say 4.5 for floral because the flowers I ordered were a bit too whilted! Everything else was great with them though. She helped me to my car as I have a baby and she was super nice. I got what I ordered and it was all good. The bakery is a completely different story. I ordered 60 cupcakes weeks ago. I got there and they had sold my order as they had written down the wrong day. So no cupcakes for my wedding.
Then she said if I came back in 15 minutes she could have them ready. I asked if I could send someone back in a few hours as I had a busy morning setting up and getting ready for my wedding. She said yes. My Mother in law went back 4 hours later and they told her they didn’t have an order for me. My MIL then went to Sams so we’d have cupcakes.report this review -

It's good and has just enough but still lacks. It's busy all the time day or night. I still absolutely love HEB because it offers deals and coupons constantly. It does have a tendency to sway what you buy because of the coupons. It's clean and people are friendly enough. I could keep saying stuff and nit picking on what I think is wrong or right but overall it's a decent store.

HEB has a decent selection of foods but a much more limited selection of natural and organic foods. The staff is nice enough and HEB carries many other things besides food. I highly recommend that you go to this HEB opposed to the one on W. Hopkins. This one is bigger and cleaner.

Other than a smaller HEB nearby and a Walmart, this is the town’s go-to large-scale grocery shopping location. Open 24 hours and closing only on a few holidays, this place is nearly always busy. Avoid during football season weekends and get your stuff during the daytime to have the shortest wait times in line.
With most HEB stores, my favorite item are the pre-made meals that require microwaving or oven heating to cook. They’re usually quite nutritious, filling, and affordable compared to eating out!
Oh, this location also does money orders! Not all grocery stores do, and some have a bank inside that either charge more or require an account with them.report this review -

Great Food and Views! Onsite Chicken n Beer joint. The seafood/butcher selection is great and sales very often. HEB runs circles around wallyworld in price/quality/speed.

Love this H.E.B & hope they bring a Central Market to town as well. Would create more jobs for community & also alleviate some congestion to each 2 locations in San Marcos. College kids love healthy hot food options & this is a HUGE college town. Missing out on a huge customer base.

Produce is always rotten and priced down to sell instead of tossed. Same for the meat once its already discolored and has a scent instead of tossin they slap a orange sticker that says "save"..this problem has been goin on awhile. San marcos locations is worst heb by far i ever been to ..too bad its my only option.

I used to like shopping here at the one but the cashiers aren't trained to well on customer service. I live literally next door and left my card home. The cashier checking me out said that she could hold my things with this big smile on her face. I come back to the store to pay for my things and they tell me they put them back because customers say they will be back and never come back and because they of shrinkage and them going bad i picked those items for my neighbor who does have food to feed herself or child. And to be told one thing and its another excuse, im sorry but to put everyone in the same category is nuts. All customers aren't the same and you don't treat people like that. Customer Service/Satisfaction gets a 2 for me. I'll shop elsewhere. Not that this message matters to you guys anyway.

It was clean and quiet. Some lady and her kids lost some money and was asking everyone she could see if we had seen it. At that time I didn't, but I walked a little farther up the isle and found it. I gave it back to her and she gave me a huge hug and said "thank you and god bless you". I was glad that I was the one who found it and nota dishonest person.

Superfluous fawning over why I love HEB aside, this store is the best in town. They have amazing selection, including a lot of Central Market stuff. They have Flaming Bird where you can get lunch and a beer! They also have a Mochas & Javas coffee shop right inside the store which I stop at every time. Even though it's on the other end of town from me, I come here often because the smaller HEB doesn't have some of the things that I need.
