  In 1948 I was enlisted in the US Navy and this site was a us Navy Air Craft Base. I assisted with analyzing and reporting weather reports for Navy Pilots using the Airport. I left here in the fall of 1949 to become a U S Navy Officer Candidate at Vanderbilt University. Why does your story not include WW2 history there?. I was born and raised in East Detroit.
