My wife and I bought a new Camper from Greenwood RV Rentals & Sales last month and it was an excellent buying experience. The salesmen were not pushy at all. They allowed us to freely look at all of the campers at our own pace. Their prices were the best in the area and before we came we were willing to buy at the advertised price. The salesman dropped the price another $1000 without us even asking and then threw in a bunch of accessories like water and sewer hoses, new battery, filled the propane tank, etc. We got a great deal with no haggling at all! On two occasions two different employees took the time to walk us through all of the various functions of the camper and to answer all of our questions. To top it all off they delivered the camper to our house (over an hour away) on the Friday before 4th of July weekend! These guys are outstanding. I will be recommending them to everybody I know who's ever in the market for a camper purchase or rental.
I have been using Greenwood for years renting everything from a pop-up to an RV. Service is great, it's a family business where they make sure your experience is great. I love the pick-up and delivery service since they work with your schedule. Equipment is always as promised on time.
Would highly recommend Greenwood RV!! We rented a camper for the Kentucky Derby and had it delivered right to the Expo Center in Louisville. The gentleman I worked with, Josh, was very helpful in meeting our needs. Robert delivered the camper at the time we requested, set everything up for us and gave us a working knowledge of the camper. It was an awesome experience with little effort on our part!
Thanks! Jane and the Kentuck Gals
Husband bought a camper trailer opening day this year for an awesome price. He's working in an outage so his hours are 4am-10pm but they allowed extra time for us to pick it up, even if it did annoy them. Thank you for going above and beyond and putting up with his crazy work schedule!
Avoid this business.
I have used them for a number of years for the same annual family gathering and have referred a number of other customers. I reserve months ahead of time. This year, I got a call 48 hours before my rental saying they had a unit down and they were cancelling my reservation! Completely unapologetic. Offered a different unit starting on a different day. Ruined my plans. They did not offer to help me find a replacement. I asked to speak with the owner of the small business, but was told he was out of town - I guess he doesn't own a cell phone like the rest of the modern world.
Next day, I get a series of credit card transactions, including a new $300 charge, and a credit, and a void. No phone call or email to explain what was going on. I had to call them and was treated rudely again.
These people need a lesson in customer service. Most customers, including me, are generally very reasonable if you are nice, explain things, apologize, and try to make things right. They did none of the above. They lost a customer and referrals forever.
My husband and I have rented a trailer from Greenwood RV Rentals every year for several years now. We rent for the Brickyard 400 NASCAR weekend at Indianapolis Motor Speedway. They have consistently provided great service and very good rental equipment. We love our NASCAR camping experience and could not have done it without a company like Greenwood RV Rentals as we have no intention of purchasing a travel trailer. Note: a NASCAR weekend in the campground is a fun event not to mention the race on Sunday.
This past July we upgraded our weekend to the 27 Foot Zinger brand model and loved the extra room it provided and the very comfortable queen mattress in the main sleeping area. Everything worked well on the camper and we love it that they deliver it to the campground at Indy for us (no need for us to have a truck able to tow it).
I always book my reservation in the fall for the next year, as I have already done again for the 2016 Brickyard 400 Race.
Update: September 25, 2015
I would like to say that I have in no way lied or made any thing up on this post. All this happened to the best of my knowledge. This is an honest post and in no way did I write this to inflict harm on the business. I simply described my experience with the company as it happened.
First off, I'm not one to flock to the internet and bash businesses the second I have a bad experience. This has to be said though. I will not, and recommend that you don't either, rent from these guys. I rent from them every year and in the beginning they were good, but these last two years have been less than satisfying. Last year they made me pay for a torn awning that was clearly wear and tear, not our fault. That trailer had ALOT of miles on it and was in sad shape. They only post pictures of the campers new, and then you get there and they are worn out pretty good. I got over it though and rented from them this year again. I didn't bash Greenwood RV for it either. This year however was a complete and total nightmare. Now I want to say first, that I was told someone would call me and try to make it right, and I have waited for a month and no attempts to make this right at all. Where to start? I guess lets start with the condition again. Once again, trailer looked new and we get there and it was worn out. There were compartments taped shut because they were broke and they kept falling open the entire time. Wouldn't have been a big deal, but they were right in the way of doing anything. Second, they only put one board for leveling the trailer in the storage compartments (even though I had asked if there were four, I should have checked so that's on me, sort of), so we couldn't level our camper at all. Third, the main circuit breaker kept popping the whole time. About every ten minutes we were in there. So the air conditioning and electric worked minimally. Fourth, the oven had a bad unit in it so we had to completely pull it apart to light it when we were cooking, thankfully my friend is an engineer and figured that out. Fifth, the water attachment had a very very little "sweet" spot (and I have to stress that very little sweet spot) on it to where if you didn't hook the hose up just right it flooded the inside of the trailer pretty bad. So every time we wanted to use water, we would have to run to the spicket, turn it on, run back in and do whatever we needed to as fast as we could while soaking up all the water (with our limited number of towels) flowing through the trailer, run out and shut it off. I finally found the sweet spot on the last night at 2 am when it was leaking and I was getting sprayed and soaked outside trying to fix it. We rented Wed through Sun by the way. 6th, the bench seat for the table wasn't the right piece or was after market, I'm not sure, but it fell through on people at least five times so we quit sitting there, so basically half a table. 7th, the crank on the front of the camper was broke. So we had to use a car jack to jack it up high enough to completely remove the crank, and lower the trailer back on to the hitch of my truck. They told us it was a new crank but you could clearly see old bearing grease mixed with new grease. 8th, the awning was tore again. This time I video'ed it on my phone so they couldn't charge us.But we caught it when we were opening it and so we put it back up and never used it, so no shade outside the camper the whole time. And the bars were broke on it as well and wouldn't snap back in so I had to use zip ties to hold it shut the whole time. All of this is 100% true and no one ever bothered to give us a refund or discount or anything at all. There has been absolutely no attempt whatsoever at making this right for us, and we are returning customers too. This experience has burnt us and we won't go back anymore. We weren't unruly, we didn't cause a scene, we had hoped to work it out. This is incredibly disrespectful to us. Apparently they don't care about customer service or ongoing business. This is true to the best of my knowledge and was written to inform.
Hello, we just returned from driving to Disney World. This was our first time staying at a campground and in a pull behind trailer. We had checked into renting this back in March and they called about 5 days prior to remind my husband about being early for some helpful instructions. I was nervous at first because I have never really stayed in a camper etc..Well I am pleased to report, it was awesome. We will be renting again and with this company. My husband drove and he says pulling the trailer was not a problem at all. When he pulled it in and leveled it, it was perfect. He had everything he needed and we were all set. We had plenty of room to hold all our belongings and slept comfortably even at the rest areas. We had no issues with the water, the doors, the air conditioning, the trailer was clean, and comfortable. Thanks Greenwood for making this trip a good one!

Last year our family rented an RV to drive to Florida. The RV was clean and everything everything functioned properly. We stayed at an ocean front campsite and had an amazing time. The drive down was by far more comfortable and fun then driving in a car and the entire family enjoyed the experience. This is definitely a vacation that we plan on doing again. Thank you Greenwood RV for the wonderful experience of a great family vacation.
