After 36 years of nursing, and having animals the past 50 years I have never encountered such a kind, knowledgeable and compassionate veterinary clinic! It was with great sadness we had to say goodbye to our beloved lab Eddie when we had only moved to West Virginia 6/2016. Eddie was a true fighter, but it was time to let go in October 2016. The compassion, tenderness and love that was shown to Eddie and my husband and I was unbelievable. They allowed us our final quiet moments, gently administered the necessary medications to help Eddie relax, and as he peacefully laid his head in my husband's lap, he passed. I've been a hospice nurse and have seen fellow nurses who could learn from the love and tenderness they showed us. Now we have Jet and he's a awesome Rotty who loves going to the clinic and seeing Dr. Lightner. The staff is awesome, always a smile and politeness and professionalism exercised. I would highly recommend them to any animal owner looking for a excellent experience for their pet!

The people at GVH are wonderful. They take such good care of Boss. They really listen when I have concerns, answer all my questions, and work with me when coming up with a plan on the best treatment options. We had to leave Boss overnight at the hospital one time and I had no worries that he would be well taken care of. Thanks GVH!

I had a confirmed appointment for my dog. When I showed up their office was closed. No notification of closure was given, no responsibility was taken. I was Inconvenienced and dissapointed with the service.

I have never been here before. I was wondering if they have an on call vet? One of my pups died tonight just got sick last night and my other one has the same thing wrong with him. I need to see a vet immediately. Plz help.

I was urgently trying to get my cat, Freckles, into any vet in the area to have a lump checked out on her abdomen. GVH had her in at 10:30 AM & was so comforting to me & Freckles. Her surgery is scheduled for Thursday, & they have accommodated so very well w/ my school schedule & my anxiety over my first pet having a problem. As long as I am in the area, they will be the only people treating my cat!

Wonderful experience with Dr. Wilson and the entire staff. Facility is state of the art and extremely clean. Dr. Wilson performed luxated patella surgery on our chihuahua, which went very well and she healed perfectly. We were impressed by the fact the doctor and staff called to check on our pet several times. It was well worth the 45 minute drive to receive this service. The good Lord has certainly blessed this doctor with a gift to treat animals. We highly recommend this hospital.
