The place is nice and the rooms are spacious. Some minor maintenance issues in the room, but not crazy for an older building.
Staff is great. Free breakfast, and free dinners midweek make it very economical with kids, who will love the indoor pool year round.

We love it here! All the rooms are suites, so the kids can go to sleep on the pull out couch and we can stay up later. If you go mid week there is free beer and dinner from 5-7, and there is a really nice pool and hot tub! We also love that check out time is at noonit give you more time to swim and play and not rush around like most hotels. The breakfast in the morning, also included, is really nice and much more then the standard continental breakfast. There is eggs, bacon, ect. We come at least once a year!

A quaint, homey hotel with wonderful staff and comfortable rooms. It is more of a mini apartment than a hotel room. I've stayed here probably a dozen or more times, so I have been in most of the rooms and have eaten their 7 or 8 different light dinner options-- and they are all pretty good-
with salad greens every night.
Breakfast has this wonderful stuff on the weekends called "skillet" which is hash browns covered in bacon, cheese, and scallions: all the calories you need for a day in one plate! Tea and coffee all day are wonderful too.
The annex building has slightly nicer rooms, I think. Some of those rooms have extra windows over the bed that add more light and a visual element. The pool is clean but usually filled with kids. I did get my socks stolen at the pool once-- I know that sounds odd, but it was the comedy relief for the night. The evening reception (weeknights only) with beer and wine by the fire takes this place up to 5 stars. The only thing this place is missing is a basket of puppies in the lobby.

The hotel itself was perfectly situated and the rooms were very well appointed. My travelling companion slept on the fold out sofa and had a lousy sleep. Plus, when we returned from our day, the sofa bed was still undone and the sheets were not smoothed out. But the housekeeper took their tip! The communal dining area is great in concept, but unfortunately for us, the other guests were rude and unfriendly. I am disabled, I carry a cane and no one, no one offered me help with my plate or a chair to sit on. We went back to our room.The food was very good. Hot and lots of it. Breakfast was very good as well. The pool and exercise area were clean and accommodating. That was nice. I will come back, but not during Montreal March Break.

Very nice stay. The king suite is very spacious and clean. The king bed is very comfortable. The futon/couch pulls out into a bed. Dishwasher, stove top, microwave, even pots and pans. Really enjoyable relaxing stay. Would definitely recommend. University mall is close by along with other shopping opportunities.

Loved the hotel. Stayed in a suite for 2 weeks. Had a great view. The dinner that was provided was mediocre but they do have free beer and wine. Wifi was a good speed.

Great hotel with plenty of accommodations. Rooms were nice. Shuttle to the downtown area and a good breakfast were big pluses.

Almost a great hotel. I recently stayed there for one night and the facilities and breakfast were top notch and the rooms were spacious and comfortable. The only complaint and it is a big one, is that the shower, sink and bathroom were all dirty. Mold was visible in many locations. Overall the hotel was solid, if the bathroom, shower and sink were cleaner it would be a top notch hotel!

This was a great stay. Their is an indoor pool and hot tub. We enjoyed one of their suites and a full Continental breakfast is included. The hotel is modeled after the Hilton Homewood brand, but with a Vermont twist.

Do not stay here if you want to sleep. I am staying here with my family and sleeping on the living room pull out couch. The room next door is having a loud party with many people. They are so loud I can here every word of their conversation. I have called the front desk now 3 times over a span of an hour to ask politely that something be done. They said they will call and then they said they would go knock and talk to them. Still laying here listening to a big party. Front desk told me "well the rooms are not sound prooof." And that they can not be relocated as they are sold out tonight. Awesome.

When you first walk into the Green Mountain Suites, you feel like you are walking into a quaint Vermont style mountain cabin as your eyes are drawn to the expansive fireplace in the middle of the lobby. The personnel at the front desk were very friendly, cheery and helpful with information we needed. The breakfast included with your stay is top notch and considerably better than all of the other breakfasts provided by other hotels. The fare included the usual scrambled eggs, pancakes, waffles, etc. But it also included fresh fruit, fresh baked croissants, hash browns, mini quiches and a scramble of potatoes, onions, peppers. The hallways and general areas were nicely decorated with tasteful art and wainscoting on the walls, lending much thoughtfulness to it charm. We occupied a King Suite, which included a king size bed with a pull out couch. Everything was comfortable and clean. The rooms are meant for extended stay guests and include a full size refrigerator, stove, microwave and dishwasher. The only complaint is have is that the height of the shower head is too low. I am 5'6" and I had to crouch to rinse the shampoo from my hair.
