I had a great visit, the girls at the front were very welcoming and helped me with making my treatment affordable. Dr. Morhaim and his assistant were very caring and efficient. I would highly recommend this office to anyone that has dental needs. :)

Excellent hygienist and doctor, but the front desk approach to billing is way too aggressive. I was refused services today, and told to cancel my appointment until my previous balance was paid. The office was closed for 3 1/2 months due to the covid pandemic, and there was no option to pay it. I felt unwelcome, embarrassed, and humiliated. However, I had to keep my appointment after an hour drive and was compelled to advance a certain amount of money that I didn’t have in order to be allowed to enter for my service. Clearly, this is NOT the way to deal with patients. And I’m having major issues returning to this office in Hicksville in the near future. Extremely disappointed to say the least. 👎

We have been visiting Dr. J and his team at Mid-Island Dental for the last 10+ years. You will not find a more professional, knowledgeable and friendly pediatric dentist on Long Island. The office staff are always pleasant and are very responsive to any billing questions.

They are very professional and have a very clean office. The staff are all very friendly and make the patients feel calm. They always give out great hygiene advice and the kids love getting tokens for the bouncy ball machine

Melanie is so patient and thorough. I'm an anxious patient and she makes visits as comfortable and as pleasant as possible. Dr Tyrangel is fantastic also! I've been to many dentists over the years but once I found this practice I wouldn't go anywhere else. I've been a patient for three years and won't be changing ever! Really great staff and the front desk staff are efficient and courteous. Appointments are always on time!

I have been going to hicksville location for 21 years. My kids been going here close to 9 years. Melanie brown is the most patient hygienist I have ever had in my 50 year life. The only dentist I use is dr t. Aka tyrengel. He is also patient and gentle. His work is first class. If you ever looking for a great pair visit these two people

Melanie Siegel-Brown (your dental hygienist) has done something for me I didn't think possible. In January, Melanie explained in-detail about proper dental care & I listened! 3 months have gone by, I see improvement & most importantly appreciate Melanie's continued coaching. Melanie explained this is a process which takes time & patience. Her support & encouragement is truly making ALL the difference for me to continue good care. Dr. C.B. Hochman (Dr. Bozzi) and her staff are terrific . Dr. Bozzi saved me approx. $2800 by avoiding a root canal my old dentists insisted I needed , (pays to get a second opinion) . And since going to Great Neck & Mid Island Dental all my dental bills have been lower , and the work done (now just cleanings) much better .

The office staff, hygienists and Dr. Josen are wonderful. We choose to go to them, even though they are out of network for us, because our kids have had such a positive experience and get excited when they are going to see "Dr J!" He has such a wonderful way with the kids as well as with the parents. I am grateful that my kids do not fear going to the dentist. We also use the orthodontist that works in the office and both groups work well together. We can schedule our cleaning on the same day as the ortho visit in order to have the bands and wires removed to make it easier for the hygienists to clean. Top notch practice!
