I was a little hesitant on coming to this clinic after reading the reviews but we had a great experience. They were quick to come get my dog to see her and the doctor on staff was friendly and took the time to explain everything to us. From beginning to end it was professional and caring and so appreciated at 4am.
They took wonderful care of my grandcat, Nutmeg. She’s not exactly an ideal patient and I appreciated their honesty about how to best diagnose and treat her. The team was professional and kind. Thank you for taking care of our girl!
Overall disappointed with the customer service and communication.
Brought our dog in for an unknown issue. Doc ultimately gave us 3 different options for treatment, not recommending one based on their professional opinion. Luckily we're savvy enough and work in the medical field to know the difference in the options, but likely not best practice for the general public. Staff could be more empathetic given this is an emergency clinic, and understand that the "parents" are likely in an emotional state, with an animal in distress. Also charged more than quoted over the phone. Do better.
My experience with Dr Quinlan and his staff was excellent. I brought my daughter’s pet rabbit and the staff communicated with us every 15 minutes. Every stage of the process was thoroughly excuted, but most importantly Dr Quinlan seemed genuinely concerned. I would highly recommend Dr Quinlan and his staff.
I hardly do reviews but I felt compelled to write one for this facility. I have nothing but good to say, and I am very grateful they were available to help us. Earlier this week, my dog fell very ill suddenly. It was after hours for our local vet, so we took her immediately here. When we arrived, they took my dog in for evaluation right away. Before they did anything, we were given asked and provided with prices on a couple of optional things we could do to help stabilize. They were not concerned with payment, but the well-being of my dog. Once my dog was stabilized, we were provided with several different options for treatment along with prices. They were very honest and kind to us. It is great to know they are here goodness forbid something else were to happen. I've shared my experience with my friends and family and they will definitely use this facility should the need ever arise.
I had to bring my best friend of 16 years there on Thanksgiving night to put him to sleep. It was one of the hardest things I've ever had to do. Alexa and Dr. Lane (not sure if I spelled that correctly) were amazing. I was a mess and probably a bit abrasive. They were so understanding and sympathetic to what I was going through. I couldn't of asked for a better group of strangers to help with sending a very big part of my family to heaven. I just wanted to get on here and show my appreciation. I'll probably never see them again but I'll never forget the grace that they showed me during that tough time. Thank y'all so much.
I am not impressed with this clinic. My 3 year old male cat was taken in this morning (11/17/17) for a urinary blockage. They gave me an estimate of $2000 and I paid it immediately. They are keeping my cat overnight for several days and pumping fluids in hope the stone or crystal passes. However, they did NOT include an X-ray in their estimate, they did not include fluids, etc. They WILL upsell you on every damn test in the book and act as though your animal has every issue. My cat's kidneys were great (which is a major concern when a urinary blockage happens) but NOW they "think" he is diabetic and want to run 800 other tests in regards to that. They also recommended I put him on a special diet, but when asked what that looked like they said "consult your regular vet- we aren't experts in nutrition". Are you kidding me? I just spent $2000 on my animal and you provided a recommendation, but could not elaborate on it? I am a 24 year old young post-graduate and they did nothing to help keep this affordable. Dissapointed!!!!!!
We found a dog on the side of the road. Turns out the dog was in labor. I called my neighbor who has successfully whelped (delivered and supervised) 23 litters of puppies. She is a professional trainer and handler. We brought the dog to her just past noon. This beautiful dog stayed in and out of labor not having sufficient contractions for about 12 hours. We checked her temp and it was high. We made the decision to bring her to this place after calling around. Upon speaking to them on the phone, they SAID, we could relinquish her as a stray and that they could perform an emergency c section. Upon arrival, we were told her vitals were fine, that she was not in active labor by one vet tech, and another said she might not even be pregnant, entirely disregarding literally EVERYTHING WE HAD INFORMED THEM OF! They didn't even check to see that she was bleeding! Literally anyone who has delivered puppies knows that if a dog is BLEEDING pre labor that is NOT GOOD! They told us that she would be in a crate and relinquished to animal control first thing in the morning. THANK HEAVENS I used my better judgement and brought the dog back to her whelping box that we had built for her! She delivered a mangeled still born at 5:45 AM this morning. when otherwise she would have been in a crate. and based on the intuition and knowledge these people have, they probably wouldn't have even noticed that she needed help. She could have died in that crate. To the vet tech that said she may not even be pregnant- go back to school, do some volunteer work delivering puppies - something- or get out of the business. To the other vet tech who said she was fine- from a nursing student - investigate why your patient is being brought in, treat a dog how you would an unconscious human, ACTIVELY LISTEN to WHAT THEY ARE SAYING and ACT ON IT! Hope ( the dog) has made it to a legitimate veterinary clinic who actually listens about their patients and acts on what people have to say.. rather than sticking the dog in the kennel. I spent 12 hours straight with that poor baby having mild contractions the entire time and BLEEDING the entire time. You guys need to be able to help.
Our little Cody gave us a scare this week and we had to take him to Cobb Emergency Vet. They were awesome!! Dr. Judy Johnson was his first Dr. And she seemed genuinely concerned for our boy. She was very thorough in getting every detail of what was going on with him. He had to stay there for two nights and ended up with sweet Dr. Lane, whom also was very thorough and answered every question I had. They allow you to come visit and call for updates whenever you want to. The nurses that were assigned to him were very nice and pleasant to speak with over the phone and always had updates for us. Lisa worked the front desk while I was in and out, and she also was very kind and pleasant. They all work hard for our fur babies! Cody is home now and doing ok, but still recovering from a "ruff" week. Thank you Cobb Emergency Vet for taking care of our sweet boy, Cody.
If I could rate them a zero, I would. HORRIBLE COMMUNICATION and BEDSIDE MANNER!!!!!! Yesterday my dog started throwing up blood. I rushed over to the animal hospital. Upon arrival, the front desk employee asked me to be patient that they had a dog in surgery with all hands on deck. I completely understood and was okay with waitingwithin reason. I completed the paperwork that informs me of the $104 exam fee. The disclaimer states that all treatment fees will be discussed before treatment. After about 15 minutes, they took my dog back. I was impressed by the turn around. From when he went back at 8:44PM, I sat with no word about anything until 11PM, when I could no longer wait patiently. I was thinking the worst was happening to my dog since no one could break away to even give me a diagnosis. I went back to the front desk and asked for an update, visably upset, nervous, & concerned at this point. She comes back after checking his status and tells me that he's waiting for his turn to be seen in a kennel and is not handling being caged very well. WHO SAYS THAT? I explain that he's nervous and anxious and ask why he can't wait with me. She tells me procedure and to be patient. I was about to kill someone for never telling me what was going on and for putting my dog and I through hell. Long story short, when they finally see my dog, we've been waiting for 5 hours. They never discussed money for treatments. They finally bring him to me after me pitching a fit and then try to charge me HUNDREDS more than what I was originally told. This place, in my opinion, is a scam!!! I will avoid like the Black Plague. I do NOT recommend taking your loved ones here!!!! Who knows now if the treatment provided was even accurate for my dog; headed to our vet this morning for a second opinion.
A vet tech spoke to us for free and gave us unofficial piece of mind. We were not pressured in any way. And we knew that ultimately only the vet could give us a definitive answer. The tech came out right away 0 wait. Really impressed with this location but hopefully we'll never have to go back.
Thanks again for everything!
Cherokee Emergency clinic Veterinarians and Technicians used all their expertise and more to stop a rare bleeding occurrence in my Greyhound. Coty would not have survived much longer if not for the front office immediately assessing the severity and ensuring he was taken care of. A combination of science and research by the Doctors, and an understanding of unique greyhound requirements resolved the critical immediacy and eventually stopped the bleeding. Highly recommend both locations for critical care. Christine B and John T.
I recommend this veterinary office. Decent speed and cost. I had to take my cat in for a leaky eye problem that escalated too fast to wait for his appt with his regular vet. He also had some digestive issues I was concerned with. The staff took him in fast and seemed to perform an appropriate amount of tests and made reasonable recommendations. I was pleased that they did not try to do every test possible which would have amounted in a much higher bill. If you need a vet fast, this office is a good choice.
While no visit to an emergency vet hospital is a pleasant time for anyone, especially not when you have to say good bye to a member of your family but I would like to commend the entire staff at CEVC - they made every attempt they could to help my best buddy Tucker, but unfortunately the best thing for us isn't the best thing for our fur babies. They were very up front with what was happening with my boy, and explained everything thoroughly.
If I could give zero stars I would. The only reason I went to this one is b/c I felt my cat was in critical shape and I had no time at all to waste. I got there at 9:30pm and was charged up front $1200. They did tests that I told them didn't need to be done b/c they already had and charged me 4 times the usual cost. They made notes saying she had mucous building up well why did you not suction it out?!?! Every not said fine resting then in full respiratory failure 30 minutes before I got off work at 6 am. So 6:30 I should up and am handed a dead cat, a stack of BS paperwork and still paid $1000. I have been involved with cat rescue for 8 years now and until then had never felt guilty for taking an animal anywhere until this place. You might as well just go ahead and consider your animal dead and expect a ludicrous bill so they could watch and jot down notes about the animal. Pets are People Too in Ansley is where I will always go from now on they only charged me $750 for major 24 hour care, tons of tests and the vet was updating me constantly. I have always felt that they did what they said and took care of my animalsDO NOT GO TO COBB ER VET EVER!!!!!
What an absolute blessing this clinic was!! I brought my very sick 5month old kitten,Batman, in to be seen on a late Friday night. The vet teh, Lisa and another front desk employee were very kind, professional, understanding and loving towards Batman. I will definitely recommend this clinic and will be a returning client! 🐱
You'd be better off wringing your own dogs neck than taking it here.
Don't come here if you want your animal saved. My kitten was dying and the unbelievable rude Lisa behind the counter hung up on me 3 different times while I was looking for assistance. I've never had a bad experience at an animal hospital nor did I think someone even could. Lisa or anyone like her deserves to lose their job.
Edit: instead of complimenting 5 star reviews why not try and fix 1 star reviews.
I want to give an outstanding review for Cobb Emergency. I've been there 3 times, and they have taken wonderful care of my pets all three times. The doctors have been excellent and the staff concerned and kind. I particularly want to mention Lisa at the front desk for her kindness. Also, I want to thank Catherine, a vet tech, for her concern, her understanding, and her excellent knowledge of the situation. She was fabulous. I'm so grateful for Cobb Emergency Vet.
