It's Sunday so they open at 2pm. I got here at 1:55 because i really wanted their banana pudding. I was told on Satuday they would have it today. Well, the staff showed up to work at 2:12 and they opened the doors at 2:20. I didn't mind waiting because I really wanted this banana pudding. Well to my dismay they didn't have any. So i drove 30 mins for nothing. At least i tried.

The wait was like 45 min, but the food was absolutely delicious. I had the smothered pork chops and it reminded me of a nice southern home cooked meal.

Got there at 12. Had to wait for them to open. Ordered a large dinner chitterlings mac n cheese and cabbage. Totaled to $17.75. Waited 40 min for my food. The portions were awesome. Cabbage was good. Mac n cheese was awful. Chitterlings are pre cleaned not cleaned how i would clean them. Prob wouldnt visit again.

We checked the reviews before we went and apparently no one knows what the hell they talking about. Food was so gross we threw almost $40 in the trash. And about an hour of our time waiting for well.. trash. Hubby managed to eat almost half of his before he gave up. Crazy part is that when I mentioned to my mother where we were she said the girls from work eat there and love it. So I don't know if we got the sub-chef or what but for that much money and time I promise we will never be going again.

It was terrible. I was very disapointed. My boyfriend and i ordered pork chop dinner and meat loaf dinner. The food didnt have flavor to it. I paid almost 30$ for food i could have made better in my kitchen. The mac and cheese was terrible and the gravy was chunky. I was so confused i thought it would be delicious but i was let down. They should not be called grandmas soul food. And seriously Lower yout prices

Called in my order from Petersburg at 12 noon (supposedly opening time). I was told it would be 25 minutes which was perfect for travel time. Arrived at 12:37pm and still had to wait until 1:27pm to get my food!! I asked for a complimentary drink for the wait but was told that couldn't happen. Got all the way to work (late from waiting) and find out that the lemon chess pie I ordered was a slice of coconut pie instead. The portion size was good for the price, but the wait has deterred me from returning anytime soon. If you decide to eat here, DO NOT go when they first open and check your food before you pull off!!! Also don't assume they have everything the menu says they serve. The choices were slim today.
